WWE WrestleMania 33: Updated Match Card, Odds, Predictions for Entire PPV
The Showcase of the Immortals is almost here.
It's been months in the making and the final touches are still being put together in the moments leading up to the event, but WWE WrestleMania 33 is just a matter of days away.
WWE has a stacked card on Sunday, with all the company's championships set to be defended, even if one is yet to get a match put to it at the time of writing.
There are huge returns, big names vying against stars of the future, and the usual mix of excitement and unpredictability that comes around every year in Mania season.
But who wins the big matches? Who do the bookmakers have as the favorites right now? Here's a detailed look at all the matches on the main card, including predictions for all.
All odds via OddsShark.
Raw Title Matches
1 of 7Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Enzo and Cass vs. Sheamus and Cesaro (Raw Tag Team Championships)
Odds: Gallows and Anderson 13-8, Enzo and Cass 11-10, Sheamus and Cesaro 9-4
The go-home edition of Raw this past Monday saw it confirmed that Gallows and Anderson will defend their titles in a Ladder Match—and it has at least given a fairly stale build some level of interest.
The odds suggest the reigning champions are favorites, but don't be so sure. However long Enzo and Cass have left as a tag team—be that days, weeks or months—it would be bizarre if they don't win the belts before a split.
They seem like the team most likely to get the win.
Winners: Enzo and Cass
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens (United States Championship)
Odds: Chris Jericho 4-1, Kevin Owens 1-7
Chris Jericho's run with the United States Championship has been disappointing, at least in the way that he hasn't really defended the belt as often as he probably should have done.
His rivalry with Owens could have survived without a title, but at least with the United States Championship on the line Sunday, it adds an extra dynamic to proceedings.
Unfortunately for Y2J, the odds in this instance look to be on the money.
This should be Owens' chance to get revenge for Jericho costing him the Universal Championship at Fastlane.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax (Raw Women's Championship)
Odds: Bayley 1-6, Banks 7-2, Flair 9-1, Jax 16-1
This seems like another match where the odds are on the money. In fact, they're so accurate that it's probably an indication of how the eliminations of the match will come about.
Jax, as impressive as she has been in recent weeks, will be first to go, perhaps as the other three participants realize they need to join forces to take her out.
Flair will then follow, maybe courtesy of a swerve involvement from Dana Brooke to set up that feud post-Mania.
Then it leaves Banks and Bayley. And while it will be a brilliant, unmissable culmination to the match, the champ should hold onto the title.
And that could be the culmination for Banks' heel turn post-match.
Winner: Bayley
SmackDown Title/Midcard Matches
2 of 7Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin (Intercontinental Championship)
Odds: Ambrose 8-1, Corbin 1-20
The odds tell you everything you need to know. The chance of Baron Corbin leaving WrestleMania with the Intercontinental Championship are sky-high.
The title is ready for a fresh face. Under Ambrose's possession, the belt has stalled somewhat, and in Corbin, there is a wrestler who is set for big things in 2017 and beyond.
A run with the Intercontinental Championship should be the start. Expect this to be one of the matches that kicks off the card with a bang.
Winner: Baron Corbin
Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James vs. Carmella vs. Natalya vs. to be determined (SmackDown Women's Championship)
Odds: None available at time of writing
Perhaps the most interesting thing with this match is who will fill the void so obviously left by WWE as a surprise.
Does Naomi get back to full fitness in time to get back the title she never lost? If she does, she immediately becomes the favorite.
What about Eva Marie? She's been absent for so long that even if she was a surprise entrant, she wouldn't be among the favorites.
There are other options. Asuka for a one-off main roster appearance, Paige or many others.
But the two favorites are clear in this writer's eyes.
Winner: Naomi if she enters; if not, Alexa Bliss retains
John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. Maryse and The Miz
Odds: Cena and Bella 1-20, Maryse and Miz 8-1
If this is to be Nikki Bella's final WrestleMania, then the odds are high she'll bow out with a win. Even if not, the fact she's teaming with her real-life partner should swing it in her favor.
This has been one of the least interesting feuds, save for The Miz and Maryse's entertaining skits last week. It's a feud that doesn't really have that much energy about it, although Cena and Miz should deliver when they are squaring off.
Unfortunately for the heels, though, they are guaranteed to come up short.
Winners: Cena and Bella
Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles
3 of 7Odds: McMahon 5-1, Styles 1-9
While it was great to see Shane McMahon up the stakes last week by taking down AJ Styles, it will prove to be nothing more than false hope for his fans.
There is absolutely no way WWE will have a full-time competitor in Styles be beaten by a part-time authority figure in Shane, even if there is controversy involved.
Styles has to return to the WWE Championship picture at some point soon, so for that reason alone, he has to be the overwhelming favorite on merit.
Expect it to be pleasantly surprising as a contest, but there seems to be only one real winner.
Winner: AJ Styles
Seth Rollins vs. Triple H
4 of 7Odds: Rollins 1-8, Triple H 9-2
Nobody is quite sure what to expect from the non-sanctioned match between Seth Rollins and his former mentor on Sunday.
WWE has played its cards smartly with this feud, leaving fans in the dark about whether Rollins is properly fit, kayfabe speaking of course.
Rollins is obviously ready to go, or WWE wouldn't have pulled the trigger on the match. And it's that reason alone why Seth should be able to go over The Game here.
WWE is at a crucial point in this new era, and having veterans like HHH go over hugely talented stars of the future like Seth without a good reason makes no sense.
The only variable is whether Finn Balor comes into the mix and joins forces with Triple H, but all the signs point to Rollins.
Winner: Seth Rollins
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
5 of 7Odds: Taker 5-1, Reigns 1-9
Have the odds ever been stacked so firmly against The Undertaker at a WrestleMania match? Probably not.
Without being overly too disrespectful to The Deadman, this Sunday is all about Roman Reigns.
There is clearly a golden opportunity where if Reigns is going over Taker, doing it the right way could set him up for a huge future. He could cheat to beat him, put the second defeat in his Mania history on his record and go off on a run as a megaheel.
However, that probably won't be the case. One thing that is a guarantee, or near as you can get, is that Reigns wins. How he does it will define his relationship and perception with WWE fans.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar (Universal Championship)
6 of 7Odds: Goldberg 12-1, Lesnar 1-50
The odds tell the story to perfection.
On two occasions in recent months, Goldberg has had the upper hand on Brock Lesnar. There will not be a third strike this Sunday.
For some WWE fans, there's a feeling that these two guys have to finally lay to rest the awful memories of WrestleMania XX and their match, which proved to be the final one of both their runs in the company.
Lesnar is going to win; there is no doubting that. But how does he win? Can he stretch a full-length match out of Goldberg, who has wrestled for little over 100 seconds in this run back with WWE?
If the bout is going on last, you suspect that has to be the case. A squash to close Mania would be dangerous booking to say the least.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship)
7 of 7Odds: Wyatt 9-2, Orton 1-8
For a while, it looked like Luke Harper would have muscled his way into this WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. And although he's not officially in the match, he could still play a part somehow.
For once, the odds appear questionable. Would it really be fair to take the WWE Championship from Bray Wyatt before his run at the top of the company has even got going?
Orton can handle a loss at Mania without a doubt. The two can feud through to SummerSlam with the right booking.
Maybe Harper could join forces with Wyatt once again or, in an even bigger twist, side with Orton to signify the end of The Wyatt Family once and for all. Erick Rowan could still make a potential shock return.
All in all, it just doesn't feel right for Bray to drop the belt this Sunday. He's worked hard to get to this point. He deserves an extended run with the belt.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
