
President Donald Trump to Host Patriots at White House on April 19
The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will be honored by President Donald Trump at the White House on April 19.
Karen Travers of ABC News reported the Patriots' trip to Washington D.C. next month.
The Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 on Feb. 5 in the first Super Bowl game that went to overtime. It was the franchise's fifth championship since 2001.

Trump, who is friends with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, offered his congratulations to the team on Twitter:
Some members of the Patriots have said they won't attend a celebration at the White House, including running back LeGarrette Blount, tight end Martellus Bennett, defensive end Chris Long, defensive tackle Alan Branch, safety Devin McCourty and linebacker Dont'a Hightower.
The Patriots will be the first sports team to visit the White House since Trump was sworn in as president on Jan. 20.
