Arsenal Transfer News: Paulo Dybala Linked with Gunners Switch, Top Rumours
Juventus striker Paulo Dybala could become a primary target for Arsenal if Massimiliano Allegri succeeds Arsene Wenger as the next coach of the Gunners.
According to TransferMarketWeb.com (h/t Alex Harris of the Daily Star), the current boss of the Italian champions will attempt to bring Dybala with him if he joins the Premier League giants. Rumours have linked Allegri as Wenger's potential successor, with the veteran French coach out of contract at the end of the campaign.
However, the Gunners will have to pay £73.7 million to claim the striker's signature as his reputation continues to explode, according to the Star. A host of teams hold an interest in Dybala, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid tracking the player, but the arrival of Allegri would give Arsenal the edge over the competition.

According to Alex Wood of the Daily Star, the player recently admitted contract talks with Juve have temporarily stalled, but he is confident of penning a new deal with the Italians.
"My agent has had to return to Argentina for the birth of his son," Dybala said. "That means we will have to wait for a bit longer, but I remain optimistic, the renewal will come. It does not just depend on what I want, but we also have to listen to Juventus."
Here is the striker in action:
The 23-year-old has hit seven goals and created five assists in Serie A this term, according to WhoScored.com, and his influence continues to grow under the stewardship of Allegri.
Former Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has commented he believes Dybala is not happy at Juve, per Harris.
"Dybala's had a different expression on his face for the past four or five weeks," Gattuso said. "He looks really frustrated, as if something is on his mind. He doesn't have a happy face. I coached him at Palermo and everybody who knows him knows he's a very fun-loving lad, which is why this surprises me."
Wenger has suffered extensive criticism as Arsenal crashed out of the UEFA Champions League, losing 10-2 on aggregate against Bayern Munich in the knockout stages.

The time has come for the Gunners to move in a new direction, and the arrival of Allegri could have the same impact Antonio Conte had on Chelsea, quickly reinventing them into title challengers with little fuss.
Dybala would answer the striking issues the Gunners have had under Wenger for many years, and his youth would guarantee a new manager had a strong platform to build a fresh squad around.
However, Wenger is not likely to go quietly, and a strong end of the season could see him continue to hold onto power in north London.
