Jaguars Rumors: Jacksonville in on A.J. Bouye, Calais Campbell, Barry Church
As the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare for their first year under head coach Doug Marrone and executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin, free agency is their first chance to rebuild the roster.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars are casting a wide free-agent net and have put themselves in the discussion for cornerback A.J. Bouye, defensive lineman Calais Campbell, safety Barry Church and offensive guard Kevin Zeitler.
Not surprisingly, defense is the focus for Jacksonville during free agency. The team finished 25th in points allowed, despite finishing a respectable sixth in yards allowed.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Jaguars have tried to take shortcuts to contending in recent years, though the results have left a lot to be desired.
Last year, per ESPN.com, the Jaguars' $74.4 million in guaranteed money given to free agents ranked second only to the New York Giants. Malik Jackson, who received $42 million of that guaranteed money, had a strong season with a career-high 6.5 sacks and four passes defended.
Yet for their spending efforts, the Jaguars still posted a 3-13 record in 2016. They haven't finished .500 since 2010 and haven't had a winning season since 2007, which was also the last year they made the playoffs.
By exploring various options at different positions, including in the secondary and both lines, the Jaguars are at least giving themselves an opportunity to add talent in order to become more competitive in the AFC South.
