Europa League 2017: Round-of-16 Leg 1 Live Stream, TV Schedule and Predictions
The round-of-16 first legs of the 2016-17 UEFA Europa League will take place on Thursday, as Manchester United travel all the way to Russia to face FC Rostov and AS Roma do battle with Lyon in France.
Most neutral fans will keep their eye on those two matches, but there are plenty of other intriguing ties taking place all over the continent. The all-German contest between Schalke 04 and Borussia Monchengladbach should be a good one, and the clash between Gent and Genk will ensure at least one Belgian team makes it to the quarter-finals.
Here's a look at the schedule for Thursday, complete with TV info, live-stream options and predictions:

United will be looking for a solid result in Russia after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend. With an important FA Cup match against Chelsea on the horizon, a good outing against Rostov could deliver some much-needed positive momentum.
Per the club's official Twitter account, Juan Mata is looking forward to a spectacular night:
The Russians shouldn't be underestimated, however. While Rostov aren't exactly a big name in world football―or traditionally even in Russian football―the team have crafted a very good reputation in the last 18 months, thanks to their rigid defence and organisation.
Rostov knocked Anderlecht and Ajax out of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, and impressed at home in a shock win over Bayern Munich. They tend to play their best football against top competition, so the Red Devils better come prepared.
Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun has been in excellent form of late and will be one of the main danger men on Thursday. He found the net once again at the weekend:
United are the favourites to advance from this tie, but don't expect Rostov to go down without a fight.
Over in France, Roma will try to turn their form around against Lyon. The Giallorossi seemed an unstoppable machine just a few weeks ago, but three losses in their last four matches across all competitions have shaken the team.
Star forward Edin Dzeko hasn't scored in his last three appearances, and he's been significantly less effective away from home this campaign, per Squawka Footbal:
Lyon have won their last four across all competitions, including blowouts of AZ Alkmaar and Metz. They trail the top three teams in Ligue 1 by a huge margin―expect the hosts to focus all of their attention on the Europa League in a bid to qualify for next year's Champions League.
Monchengladbach and Schalke are European regulars who have both disappointed in the Bundesliga this season, and they need a deep run in the Europa League to salvage their campaign.
The all-Belgian battle between Gent and Genk should also be entertaining―neither team have much European experience, and both have disappointed in Belgium to the point they might miss Play-off 1, which is used to determine the league's champion.
The Belgian play-off spots will be decided this weekend, so fielding their best starting XI on Thursday could be a huge risk for either team.
