Manchester City vs. Huddersfield: Pep Guardiola's Key Pre-Match Presser Quotes
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has insisted Claudio Ranieri's achievements at Leicester City will be talked about for "50 years" despite his sacking.
Guardiola addressed the media on Tuesday on the eve of the team's FA Cup fifth-round replay with Huddersfield Town at the Etihad Stadium; the winner will take on Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Ranieri was axed by the Foxes despite steering them to an incredible Premier League triumph last season. Having struggled for form in 2017, Leicester rediscovered their best in the first game since the coach's departure, coasting to a 3-1 win over Liverpool on Monday.

While he's no longer employed by the club, Guardiola insisted the Italian leaves a strong legacy, per Simon Stone of BBC Sport:
Guardiola's attentions quickly turned to the match against the Championship outfit, though, and he discussed the personnel that could take to the field for the FA Cup contest.
One player who won't feature is injury-ridden skipper Vincent Kompany. However, Guardiola did provide a positive outlook for the centre-back despite his absence, per the club's official Twitter feed:
The goalkeeping position continues to be a big point of discussion at City, too, with Claudio Bravo dropped and Willy Caballero not completely convincing as a deputy.
Bravo was the man Guardiola called on between the sticks when the two teams last met, and he admitted he's yet to make his mind up on who will start in this one.
"I have to think about it after training and in the morning. I decide from what I see and game by game," he said, per Charlotte Duncker of the Manchester Evening News. "… I have to think about it, not just with our goalkeepers."
The City manager was also full of praise for the visitors to the Etihad on Wednesday evening and insisted they wouldn't be out of place in the top flight.

"It is not how tired they are, more a final against one team who impressed a lot when we played there," he said of the challenge they will pose. "They are top of the Championship and sometimes teams top of the Championship are stronger than some of the teams in the Premier League."
Additionally, Guardiola discussed the benefits of the team's recent visit to Abu Dhabi and revealed that the club's owner, Sheikh Mansour, is quite the City fanatic:
With City well-placed to progress in the UEFA Champions League and clinging on to Chelsea's coattails in the Premier League, the FA Cup may not be too high up on Guardiola's list of priorities. But winning a trophy—any trophy—during his first season in charge would be a big relief for the coach.
Huddersfield showed in the first meeting between the sides that they're no pushovers and, under head coach David Wagner, they've been playing some superb football in recent weeks.
However, City will be big favourites to progress and ensure they have an excellent chance at finishing 2016-17 with some silverware in the trophy cabinet.
