Manchester City Fined By FA For Violation of Rules on Anti-Doping
Manchester City have been fined £35,000 by the Football Association for violating anti-doping laws.
A statement from the FA's official website confirmed City's fine, which was issued for breaking rules on providing accurate information on their "club whereabouts."
City admitted the charge, and a report from Damian Spellman of the Press Association (h/t the Daily Mail) helped fill in some of the details. In particular, Spellman made clear how the FA demands clubs reveal the locations of their players, as well as the timing of training sessions.

The rule is in place so tests can be carried out at any time. Naturally, it makes sense for the FA to be random with its spot tests for banned substances.
However, as Spellman noted, the Citizens didn't provide up-to-date details three different times. The PA report also highlighted how a change of training routines may have contributed to the confusion and failure to file the correct information.
