Clemson's Christian Wilkins Breaks Out Dance Moves in Championship Celebration

Andrew GouldJan 10, 2017

The Clemson Tigers won their first national title in 35 years after rallying to upend the previously undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 on Monday night. Afterward, they had plenty to celebrate.

Christian Wilkins led the party. The sophomore defensive lineman ended 2016 on an uncomfortable note, as he appeared to grope Ohio State running back Curtis Samuel in an inappropriate place during the College Football Playoff semifinals.

He kept his hands to himself after Clemson's come-from-behind triumph, but the 310-pounder marked the monumental victory with some nimble moves.

Wilkins' split impressed SportsCenter anchor Scott Van Pelt (via The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater):

Wilkins also channeled his inner J.R. Smith, continuing the celebration sans shirt:

Per Cindy Boren of the Washington Post, he discussed his jubilant postgame dancing:

"

I was just having fun out there. Such an exciting moment; we won the national championship against Alabama with the guys I love. I've seen a lot of ridicule from last week, obviously. People were trying to take my joy away from me all week.

I just let it all out tonight. I was really happy, really excited to be national champs and go out on top.
