WWE Star Oba Femi Returns to Alabama, Speaks to CFB Team at Practice in Photos, Videos
WWE superstar and Alabama graduate Oba Femi paid a visit to his alma mater's football team on Tuesday and spoke to the Crimson Tide as the squad gets ready for its 2026 season opener against East Carolina.
Femi was on Alabama's track-and-field team from 2019-2022 after transferring from Middle Tennessee State. He won the shotput title at both the SEC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2021 and took home the indoor shotput title again in 2022 before graduating with a visual arts degree.
Femi has loudly announced his presence in the WWE after making his main roster debut last December. Since then, he posted the most eliminations at Royal Rumble (five, tied with eventual winner Roman Reigns) and beaten Brock Lesnar twice (at WrestleMania and SummerSlam).
He's only been on the losing end of a singles or tag team match once since arriving (to Lesnar at Clash in Italy back in May).
It's clear WWE has big plans for Oba Femi, who is now in a feud with another rising star in Bron Breakker. The two will clash at Sunday Night's Main Event in Atlanta on Sunday, Sept. 6.
One day earlier, Alabama will open its season at home vs. the ECU Pirates. Kickoff for head coach Kalen DeBoer's squad is set for noon ET.
