Arsenal Transfer News: Jack Wilshere 'Increasingly Keen' on Serie A, Top Rumours
Jack Wilshere is reportedly "increasingly keen" on a move to Italy amid speculation AC Milan are interested in signing him from Arsenal next summer.
That's according to the Daily Star's David Woods, who reported the midfielder—who is on loan at Bournemouth for the season—is "coming round to accepting his future lies away from Arsenal."
Further, he has seen England team-mate Joe Hart's success after moving on loan to Torino, helping convince him a similar move could be beneficial.

Per Woods, Milan were among the teams Wilshere rejected in favour of the Cherries in the summer, along with fellow Serie A side Roma, but the Rossoneri remain hopeful of recruiting the 24-year-old next year as he enters the final 12 months of his Arsenal contract.
Wilshere himself knows there's a possibility he won't remain at Arsenal for the long-term, as he recently told the Independent (via Bleacher Report UK):
The England international has spent much of his time at the Emirates Stadium kicking his heels on the sidelines because of injury and has lost his place in the side.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger now has Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin vying for minutes in midfield, so his loan move was a shrewd way to give him the opportunity to prove his fitness.
He has thus far done that, playing in all nine of the Cherries' Premier League fixtures since his arrival and completing 90 minutes in each of his last four. Wilshere appears to be relishing playing regular football once more:
The midfielder is also regaining some form and earned a recall to the England national team in the November international break, though he did not feature against Scotland or Spain.
He has been handed a more advanced role than he typically enjoyed with the Gunners and has been making full use of his creativity and passing range, albeit at the expense of a reduced defensive contribution.
Here's a look at his numbers, per Squawka:
| Apps | 9 |
| Minutes | 684 |
| Chances Created | 18 |
| Take-ons | 17 |
| Tackles | 2 |

Cazorla turns 32 in December, so there could still be scope for Wilshere to return to the Emirates and resume his Arsenal career—the Gunners wouldn't have stuck with him this long if they hadn't planned for him to be part of the team.
Equally, while Milan are no longer the force they once were, moving abroad could also be good for Wilshere—few English players make the move, and Serie A could enhance his tactical understanding of the game.

Meanwhile, Elneny has revealed he was initially discovered by Arsenal while they were scouting his former Basel team-mate Fabian Schar, per DMC Sports (h/t the Mirror's Hamish Mackay).
The centre-back, now at Hoffenheim, would have been a strong candidate to partner Laurent Koscielny in defence, but with Shkodran Mustafi now at the Emirates, Arsenal look solid at the back.
Elneny is perhaps underrated compared with some of his team-mates, but he has shown himself to be a composed figure on the ball and a wonderful passer—he'll no doubt continue to prove an excellent acquisition in the future.
