Triple Main Event
It would seem unfathomable that, in a brand extension where star power is at a premium, a single roster like Raw's could generate three legitimate main events, but that is exactly what the brand has accomplished with Sunday's show.
Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte is a feud that has been ongoing since WrestleMania, where the latter's father, Ric Flair, cost The Boss the opportunity to leave Dallas with the Women's Championship. Sunday, they will not only bring their rivalry to a close, but they will also make history by becoming the first two women to ever set foot inside the vaunted steel structure.
Kevin Owens' reign as universal champion has not been without its considerable bumps. He has the opportunity to undo all booking missteps by turning in a show-stealing performance against Seth Rollins, who is in need of a defining performance to cement his babyface turn.
Roman Reigns and Rusev are in the midst of a heated rivalry, and its intensity most lends itself to the cell. Whether they can improve upon their strong work to this point and deliver the outstanding culmination to their feud is the biggest question.
How to Watch
WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 will be available on traditional pay-per-view outlets. That may be the preferred method of viewing for casual fans intrigued by the Banks-Charlotte match or longtime fans who appreciate the aura of the cell.
For everyone else, the event will stream live and then post immediately afterward for on-demand viewing on the WWE Network.
The event will emanate from the historic TD Garden in Boston, with the pre-show airing at 7 p.m. ET on both the WWE Network and live on Facebook.
Why Should You Watch?
The Banks-Charlotte match remains key to piquing interest.
No other feud between two women has been deemed worthy or intense enough to warrant inclusion in the most dangerous match in WWE. They will break through the glass ceiling in the same way Wonder Woman did 75 years ago, earning themselves inclusion in a select group of competitors lucky enough to compete in such a high-profile contest.
The promise of an outstanding match between Rollins and Owens, as well as a heated wrap to Reigns-Rusev, have some thinking Sunday's show could be a dark-horse candidate for Show of the Year.
