Fisher Comments on Quinn's Recovery

Quinn Remains One of the NFL's Premier Pass-Rushers
This is another setback for Quinn, who missed time earlier this season with a shoulder injury. He also played in just eight games last year because of a back injury that ultimately required surgery.
There are few better edge-rushers in the league than Quinn when he's healthy. The No. 14 overall pick in the 2011 draft tallied 10.5 sacks apiece in 2012 and 2014 and ended up with a head-turning 19 sacks in 2013.
He entered the 2016 campaign having never finished with fewer than five sacks in a season; he had five both as a rookie and last year, when he missed eight games.
Los Angeles will likely turn to Eugene Sims or Ethan Westbrooks to provide support alongside defensive end William Hayes if Quinn is forced to miss time in the future. Sims is a veteran who has been in the league since 2010, while Westbrooks is in his third season and is still looking to establish himself as an impact playmaker.
While the Rams have the pieces to survive a short-term absence, they need Quinn's presence up front as one of the anchors of their defense.
