Jackson's Injury Has Major Impact on Tide's Return Game
A standout senior, Jackson has cemented himself as one of Alabama's most dynamic players in the defensive backfield and on special teams throughout the 2016 season.
Jackson entered Saturday's SEC showdown with 21 total tackles—including 2.5 for loss—and one interception. He also averaged an outrageous 25.8 yards per punt return with two touchdowns on nine attempts through the Crimson Tide's first seven games.
Jackson came into the game ranking No. 1 among all FBS players in punt-return average and punt-return touchdowns, so the Crimson Tide could take a step back on special teams without him.
As for the secondary, Saban can pivot to junior Hootie Jones as a possible replacement at strong safety.
