
Danny O'Brien Injury: Updates on Tennessee DL's Status and Return
Tennessee Volunteers defensive tackle Danny O'Brien was taken off the field on a stretcher during Saturday's game against the Texas A&M Aggies.

O'Brien Moving Extremities

Per ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach, O'Brien was down for a while before being put on a stretcher.
Per Sports Illustrated's Andy Staples, Tennessee announced O'Brien had movement in all four extremities while being taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. Staples added after the game that O'Brien would be permitted to fly back with the team.
O'Brien appeared to take a hit to his head that left him lying on the field before medical personnel came out to put him on the stretcher. The play begins at two minutes, 26.50 of the following video:
Earlier in the game, O'Brien appeared to suffer a different injury before walking off the field with trainers. He was able to return before picking up the apparent head injury with Tennessee trailing 28-14 in the fourth quarter.
O'Brien, a senior, is in the midst of a breakout season. He entered play Saturday with three tackles for loss, just 1.5 away from equaling his career high for a season.
