Adams was available to play Monday against Atlanta, according to Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman.

Adams Enjoying Strong Start to '16-17 Season

Adams is in his fourth season in the NBA, all with the Thunder, and has seen his role continue to increase the longer he's been in the league.

Through 21 games in the 2016-17 season, Adams has recorded 10.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, both career highs. He is also adding 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

However, the season hasn't been short of knocks for the New Zealand native. In a preseason game against Real Madrid, Adams suffered a sprained ankle, though it didn't force him to miss any regular-season games.

Now with him sidelined once again, the Thunder will miss their 7-foot looming presence beneath the basket, as Adams has exhibited strength and versatility on the defensive side of the ball.

In his first three full seasons, he recorded a combined defensive wins share mark of 6.5. But his offensive game has been coming along as well, especially in the postseason.

During 18 playoff games last season, which saw the Thunder make the Western Conference Finals, Adams averaged 10.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 61.3 percent from the field.
