Flowers Placed on IR

The Chargers announced Flowers will miss the remainder of the season. Adam Caplan of ESPN noted Flowers is the 18th player this year to hit injured reserve.
Flowers Has Troubling History with Concussions
The Nov. 13 concussion came just seven weeks after a Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts in which Flowers suffered his first concussion of the year, forcing him to miss four games.
Last season, he also suffered a concussion as well as knee issues, which sidelined him for five games. It headlined a dreadful season in which he posted a career-low 33 total tackles and four pass deflections while failing to record an interception.
This season, Flowers had notched 28 total tackles, one interception and one defensive touchdown through Week 10, which was on pace for a noticeable improvement from his 2015 campaign.
But that's where the improvements in San Diego's pass defense end, as the unit is a bottom-eight group in the league.
When healthy, Flowers has been one of the league's more solid corners over a nine-year career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Chargers.
His 21 career interceptions rank 20th among all active players in the league.
With Flowers done for the year, the pressure is on Casey Hayward and Craig Mager to fill the void.
