Duncan, 40, retired this offseason after 19 seasons with the Spurs. He averaged 19.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game and was a 15-time All-Star, two-time MVP and five-time champion. He is arguably the greatest power forward to ever play the game and is a lock to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

During his playing days, he was one of the game's most intelligent, stoic and consistent players. He became famous for his unflappable, business-like approach to the game, his work ethic and his ability to dominate on the block.

Suffice to say, Duncan would offer a valuable perspective as a coach or in a front office position. He understands the X's and O's of the game as well as the dynamics of the locker room and what it takes to put together a successful roster.

In other words, it isn't hard to imagine Duncan filling any number of roles for the Spurs, from coaching up LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol on the block to assisting general manager R.C. Buford in some capacity.
