Mark Hunt Comments on Potential Brock Lesnar Rematch, UFC Sale and More with TMZ

UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt would like a rematch with Brock Lesnar after his unanimous-decision loss at UFC 200 and said he wasn't happy with the drug-testing exemptions the WWE star received ahead of their bout.

TMZ approached the 42-year-old on Sunday and informed him of the impending sale of UFC to a partnership of organisations for $4 billion. The sale has since become official, per Darren Rovell and Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com.

Hunt congratulated the organisation and said UFC President Dana White can “do what he wants” with his money before the conversation turned to his loss to Lesnar.

Asked what it was like fighting the WWE performer, Hunt said: “It is what it is. I have some complaints about the exemptions he did get." He then stated he would love a rematch.

Per the report, fighters coming out of retirement have to give four months' notice and make themselves available to random drug testing. Lesnar only agreed to take the fight in June, however, and UFC "waived" the rule for the returning veteran.

The Super Samoan never got within reach against Lesnar and couldn't unleash his devastating power shots, landing only a handful of good punches. Lesnar dominated the ground game and had several successful takedowns, and the unanimous decision didn't come as a surprise.

The loss moved Hunt's MMA record to 12-11-1 and handed him his first defeat by decision. With the result never in doubt, few fans have called for a rematch in the immediate future. Per Okamoto, UFC has already confirmed Lesnar's return to the Octagon was a one-time thing, as he still has a contract with WWE.

While the drug-testing exemption caused some minor controversy ahead of the fight, MMAFighting.com's Marc Raimondi noted Lesnar did get tested routinely during his camp, suggesting the exemption may not have been such a big deal:

Per the Daily Mirror's Liam Corless, Hunt suggested Lesnar was taking performance-enhancing drugs before their bout even took place.

If Lesnar does return to the Octagon, a rematch with Alistair Overeem, who handed him his last defeat in 2011, seems the most likely fight to be made. Hunt is 42 years old, and while he did win two of his last three fights and is still a big name in the heavyweight division, he'll likely run out of time before a rematch with Lesnar can be made.
