Dustin Pedroia Doesn't 'Give a S--t' About 16-Game Hit Streak: 'That's My Job'
The Boston Red Sox have turned things around.
After a 78-84 campaign in 2015 and a last-place finish in the American League East, the 2016 Red Sox are 10 games above .500 and just one game out in the division.
Dustin Pedroia has had a lot to do with that success, as he's hitting .320/.379/.490 on the season. The longtime second baseman smacked two doubles in his team's 8-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Friday at Target Field, extending his MLB-leading hitting streak to 16 games.

Yet, ever the team player, Pedroia is not interested in personal accomplishments.
Per Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald (via Dan Toman of theScore), Pedroia said of the streak, "I don't give a s--t. I'm just playing the game. That's my job, to go out there and play and help us win games."
The Red Sox will return to Fenway Park on Tuesday for a 10-game homestand, which begins with a three-game set against the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles.
