WWE's Best Booking Options for Sasha Banks to Regain Lost Momentum
Sasha Banks may be the most popular female performer in wrestling today, a woman who carries herself like the star she was born to be, but there is no denying her momentum has been halted in post-WrestleMania WWE.
For whatever reason, she has been left off of television almost entirely, a multi-woman tag match in London her lone televised bout of any significance since The Showcase of the Immortals on April 3.
All hope is not lost, though. Banks is still over with audiences, the majority of which can be heard chanting "We want Sasha!" during women's matches on Raw and SmackDown. The connection she has established with fans is undeniable, and no hiatus is likely to damage that. Thus, when she finally does return to a meaningful role on television, she will not have to fight her way back to credibility in the eyes of the WWE Universe.

Why Triple H Can Turn Around WWE

AEW Can Take Advantage of WWE Cold Streak
She will, though, have to reignite the momentum she had for herself heading into WrestleMania. Here are just a few of the ways she can do that.
The Horsewomen Explode

The most obvious path toward regaining momentum would see Banks feud with Charlotte over the WWE Women's Championship. There is no lack of history between the two, making a rivalry an easy sell to the fans. That The Boss would have won the the title at WrestleMania were it not for Ric Flair's interference only fuels a potential program.
The dynamic between them is an interesting one, too.
Charlotte is a second-generation star, the daughter of the man many consider the greatest wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots. She came from privilege and, at least from a character standpoint, was handed opportunities based on her father's accomplishments.
Banks, on the other hand, fought for everything she has ever achieved in professional wrestling. She worked her way through the indy scene, survived her status as a glorified enhancement talent early in her NXT career and molded her character from scratch before breaking out into stardom.
The story is one that tells itself.
The Boss and The Lass Kicker Battle to the 'EnD'

Emma and Dana Brooke have jumped from NXT to the main roster and wasted little time making life a living hell for Becky Lynch. What better way to even up the sides than by injecting Banks into the program? Banks was gone by the time Brooke arrived on the scene in the developmental brand. Thus, their meetings would be fresh.
Fans have only seen Banks vs. Emma in NXT, and even then, it was long before they became the polished in-ring competitors they are today.
As of late, all of the excitement and energy previously behind the division has dissipated, the result of limited television time and the emphasis on the ongoing rivalry between Charlotte and Natalya. The women's revolution was supposed to dictate that the female Superstars were not restricted to just one segment per show.
The tag team rivalry would provide the company with the secondary women's feud it desperately needs.
The Boss vs. The Boss?

In the summer of 2014, fans witnessed the first high-profile and main event-caliber feud between two women since the heydays of Lita and Trish Stratus when Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella waged war leading into SummerSlam.
In the resulting match, Stephanie proved to be a master of the performance element of the sport, playing up to the crowd, bumping around the squared circle for her opponent and even executing moves and holds fans had never seen out of her before.
With Stephanie remaining an authority figure over Raw, there are few better ways for Banks to rejuvenate her character than through a feud with the real boss.
The potential is there to play off real-life frustration. Banks has been invisible since WrestleMania, passed over in favor of Natalya despite being moments from capturing the women's title. There are legitimate arguments to be made. The fact she is as popular as she is would generate more heat—and create a more anticipated match—than Stephanie vs. Bella ever did.
The interactions between the arrogant, self-assured and confident Banks and her power-hungry, equally arrogant superior would make for compelling television and may provide WWE with the closest thing to a legitimate antihero vs. authority figure program since Steve Austin and Vince McMahon headlined the Attitude Era.
