Stephen Curry vs. Blazers: Stats, Highlights and Twitter Reaction from Game 4
Stephen Curry is back. He'll tell you himself.
The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, who will probably become a back-to-back MVP in the coming days, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, scored a game-high 40 points off the bench in his first matchup in more than two weeks. As a result, the Golden State Warriors took a 3-1 lead over the Portland Trail Blazers in the teams' Western Conference Semifinals series with a 132-125 overtime victory Monday.
Curry has been out of action since Game 4 of the Warriors' first-round series against the Houston Rockets, and he looked rusty early on. He missed his first nine three-point attempts but made five of his last seven, and he scored an NBA-record 17 points in overtime.
Even Curry's little brother Seth couldn't help but be amazed:
As per usual, Twitter was a madhouse when Chef Curry started to turn up the heat. Check out some of this reaction:

The Warriors perhaps could've survived this series without playing Curry at all, but having him back is an added bonus. Monday night proved that, and Curry put the cherry on top with an overtime performance for the ages. Golden State can close out the series Wednesday at Oracle Arena, and Curry will be in the starting lineup. If you ask Warriors forward Draymond Green, that may be a certain thing.
"Of course I think [the Blazers are] done," Green said, per Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated. "It's time for us to close this series."
This might not go down as the greatest playoff performance of all time, but people will be talking about it for a long time. Curry looks fully healthy and showed he's on a mission to bring a second straight title to Golden State.
