Shumpert Active vs. Pistons

Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said Shumpert will play against the Detroit Pistons in Game 1 and won't be on a minutes restriction.
Shumpert Struggling to Shake Injury Bug
Injuries have been dogging Shumpert all season long, including a wrist ailment that required preseason surgery and a shoulder stinger that briefly forced him to miss time in February.
Although his per-game averages prior to the injury (5.8 PTS, 3.8 REB, 1.0 STL) weren't a cause for celebration, it's hard to ignore just how important his presence is on the perimeter.
While basic box-score stats don't do his performance justice, advanced numbers highlight how Shumpert has evolved into the Cavaliers' stingiest wing defender thanks to his combination of length and strong lateral quickness.
With Shumpert back on the court, the Cavaliers get another talented guard to come off the bench while J.R. Smith continues to hold down the starting gig. Hopefully for the Cavaliers, the rest at the end of the season will help keep Shumpert healthy during Cleveland's playoff run.
