WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for January 28
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose fell just short of capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. Then they learned that they would compete in a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender's match at Fastlane.
During Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, the former Shield members stopped by "The Highlight Reel" with Chris Jericho.
Would their discussion about Fastlane go smoothly or would a faction of Superstars interrupt the proceedings, setting up a huge main event tag match?

Analysis
The pattern of SmackDown becoming the show dedicated to tag team matches reared its head again on Tuesday night, as the advertised "Highlight Reel" descended into another promo segment devoted to booking a tag match for later in the show.
And, as one could have predicted given the importance of keeping everyone involved looking strong ahead of WrestleMania, it ended in a ridiculous disqualification.
The only surprise was the appearance of Big Show late in the match as he rescued the babyfaces from a beatdown at the hands of the dangerous Wyatt Family.
It should be interesting to see if Show's appearance was just another instance of WWE rushing out another hero to help even the odds or the ignition of another push for the World's Largest Athlete. If that is the case, fans can look forward to two months of commentators putting over his size and...his size.
Because that is where his character begins and ends at this point.
The arrival of AJ Styles on SmackDown helps bolster the star power on the show, but his win over Axel is likely to be remembered only for the fact that he broke out the Styles Clash for the first time.
Finally, Sasha Bank's breakup with Team B.A.D. serves as the finale of the woeful Divas Revolution, which accomplished nothing but bring together three of the most talented women to ever lace a pair of boots on the main roster.
Now, Banks is free to roam the Divas division, wreaking havoc and delivering Bank Statements en route to the Divas Championship.
Overall, the card looks like one guaranteed to ensure the consistency of the Thursday-night show. Considering the move to USA Network has been hyped heavily by the cable channel, though, it has to be disappointing that WWE Creative has not done more to make it must-see television.
