Jimmy Clausen Named Ravens Starting QB vs. Seahawks: Latest Details and Reaction
The Baltimore Ravens named Jimmy Clausen their starting quarterback against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.
Bryn Renner was promoted from the practice squad and will serve as the backup.
Clausen, 28, is starting for the injured Matt Schaub, who is out due to a chest injury. Baltimore's first-stringer, Joe Flacco, was lost earlier in the year to a torn ACL.

"Jimmy is smart," head coach John Harbaugh said, per Hensley. "He has been in this basic system before. He knows how to handle himself. He has played a lot of football, so he's fine."
It's Clausen's second start of the season, though his previous start came Sept. 27 with the Chicago Bears, also against Seattle. The Bears lost that contest 26-0, with Clausen going 9-of-17 for 63 yards.
Per Hensley, Clausen is just the sixth NFL quarterback to make two starts with two different teams in a season.
Clausen has had his difficulties as a starting quarterback, going just 1-11 in the role. He started his career with the Carolina Panthers in 2010 after getting selected in the second round of the draft (48th overall) and largely struggled as a rookie before being demoted to the backup role.
The depleted Ravens, at 4-8, also have the misfortune of playing the 7-5 Seahawks after they won three straight.
