Peyton Manning Injury Update: Broncos Star Discusses Recovery, QB Situation
Before he considers whether or not he'll play in 2016, Peyton Manning's primary concerns are his recovery from a tear in the plantar fascia in his left foot and a return to the field in 2015.
"This is when 'they' and 'sources' seem to show their heads a little bit," Manning said Wednesday, per ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold, adding, "I haven't thought much other than about trying to get healthy. ... I'm going to try to get healthy so I can try to get back. That's kind of where my focus is."
Manning is wise to only look at the present, because if he stays out much longer he may lose the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback job altogether. Brock Osweiler has thrown for 666 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while filling in for the legendary QB.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN.com's Bill Barnwell doesn't see a reason why Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak should make a change under center:
Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reported Osweiler is getting a groundswell of support in Denver's locker room:
Kubiak, however, remains noncommittal about whom he plans on starting the rest of the way, per Legwold:
"We're totally committed to getting our quarterback, getting Peyton healthy, and getting him back and nothing's changed. And nothing's changed where we're heading this week, Brock's our starter this week and we're all in getting ready for San Diego. We're week to week and we're doing everything we can to win the next football game, but absolutely nothing has changed.
"
The longer Manning's recovery process is, the less likely he is to overtake Osweiler.
The playoffs are rapidly approaching, which would seemingly be a terrible time to make a quarterback change, even if Manning is the quarterback you're bringing back into the lineup.
