Roethlisberger Sets Record for Most Passing Yards Against Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards in Sunday's 39-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, setting an all-time single-game record for most passing yards against Seattle, per the Seahawks' official Twitter account.
In a back-and-forth contest that was a one-score game until the final two minutes, Roethlisberger completed 36 of his 55 pass attempts for the record-setting 456 yards—albeit with just one touchdown and a pair of interceptions.
With top wide receiver Antonio Brown shadowed by star Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman for the entire afternoon, No. 3 wideout Markus Wheaton shockingly stepped up to catch nine passes for 201 yards and Roethlisberger's only touchdown.

Roethlisberger actually had a shot to reach 500 yards for the third time in his career, but with the Steelers trailing by nine points just inside of the two-minute warning, he was removed from the game to be evaluated for concussion symptoms.
Backup quarterback Landry Jones handled the Steelers' final drive, which eventually ended on a game-sealing interception by Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.
According to Pro-Football-Reference.com, the previous single-game record of 455 passing yards against the Seahawks was set by San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers back in September 2010.
Despite only gaining a reputation for tough defense within the past five seasons, the Seahawks have allowed just six quarterbacks to throw for 425 or more yards in a game.
