Tuchel Comments on Reus Injury
Tuesday, Dec. 15
"We can't play [Reus] tomorrow [vs. Augsburg]," confirmed BVB boss Thomas Tuchel, per Dom Farrell of Goal.com.
Farrell's report adds Reus is "not completely ruled out" of Dortmund's trip to Cologne on Dec. 19
Tuchel Confirms Reus Blow
Sunday, Dec. 13
Reus was withdrawn in the 43rd minute of Sunday's 4-1 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt, and Dortmund's website quoted Tuchel after the result. He said:
"It happened as he was turning. Marco felt the pain and immediately indicated that he needed to be substituted off. It saddens me because Marco has had no issues recently. I was actually very confident that we would guide him into the winter break in fantastic physical condition so that we could go that extra mile in our winter preparations.

Injury Halts Reus Progress Again
The news comes as a big blow for Tuchel's side, as Reus is arguably Dortmund's most important attacking threat. He has netted eight goals in the Bundesliga this season, per WhoScored.com.
Tuchel has more-than-adequate cover to call upon with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shinji Kagawa, Jonas Hofmann and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all able to fill Reus' position.
However, the German international's return will be eagerly anticipated at Signal Iduna Park given his ability to influence matches to great effect.
Reus is no stranger to injury, having endured numerous frustrating spells on the sidelines in his career—most recently with a hamstring problem in November.
He will certainly be desperate to return to action as soon as possible, but it would be inadvisable for him to rush back before he is 100 per cent fit.
