Manchester United Transfer News: Fresh Felipe Anderson, Domenico Berardi Rumours
Felipe Anderson could finally land a move to Manchester United as reports suggest the Brazilian has a "gentleman's agreement" in place to leave Lazio if one of Europe's top clubs want him.
Italian website CalcioMercato.com (h/t Alex Harris of the Daily Star) claims the attacking midfielder can depart the Stadio Olimpico next summer under the proviso of a verbal understanding between player and club. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also considering moves for Anderson, as his stock inflates in Serie A.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Harris) reported Lazio turned down a £28 million offer for the player from United in the summer, leaving Anderson "disappointed" at missing out on the prospect of joining the Red Devils.

However, the talented 22-year-old will be able to make the switch to Old Trafford should manager Louis van Gaal successfully negotiate the asking price. Anderson currently has a £56 million buyout clause in his deal that runs until 2020, per the Irish Independent, but United will feel they are in a position of strength to lower the fee—if the forward is ready to move to the north-west.
LvG recently admitted he is looking to add flair players to his attacking contingent, saying top players want to join his ranks but their clubs have stopped them from signing for the Premier League giants, per Marc Williams of the Daily Star:
"I have already said, in the transfer period, I could not buy every player I want and that’s also because of the market. I have said that we need creative, speedy players in attack. You have seen which players I have bought; I like that profile, but we need more. I think that all the players I want do want to come. It is not a question of the players, it is a question of the clubs who are stopping them.
"

Anderson would be an exciting addition to United's flanks; the player has the ability to dribble past full-backs, and he possesses the creative flair to feed Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.
However, it is the dynamic between the United captain and the French teenager that poses LvG with his biggest question: trying to find a way of sandwiching both attackers in while not sacrificing goals and assists.
Anderson would bring balance to the forward line at Old Trafford after performing wonders in 2014-15. The Brazilian scored 10 goals in 23 Serie A starts, per WhoScored.com, proving himself to be one of the burgeoning talents of world football.
Berardi Won't Arrive In January

A Manchester United move for Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi will have to be delayed as the Serie A club's managing director has refused to sanction any sale of their prized asset.
Giovanni Carnevali told Tuttosport (h/t talkSPORT) Berardi will be going nowhere in January, despite being chased by the Red Devils, Chelsea and Juventus:
"Last year, we invested €10 million in him. For now Berardi is completely a Sassuolo player and we're not a club that needs to sell. I can rule out a January move. That's not part of our company policy. With Juventus it's an open discussion. It's an advantage, but Juventus are not the only ones to be following Berardi.
"

The 21-year-old has been one of Italian football's top forwards in recent times, scoring 33 times in 67 appearances, according to talkSPORT, and he is on the verge of a call-up to the full national team.
Berardi mainly operates as a right-sided attacker, and he could provide the width with Anderson in future incarnations of Van Gaal's side.
United have started the season in solid form, but the debate about their attack and the function of Rooney is set to carry on. Memphis Depay's early contributions have also been woefully inadequate, leading to wider questions about his ability and application.
LvG has admitted he needs to add more flair to his attack, sooner rather than later, and it will surely be the case that the England skipper is most likely to make way due to his form and age betraying his reputation at Old Trafford.
