Schroder scored 20 points in 22 minutes in Game 3 on Friday.
Hawks Need Schroder's Impact Off Bench
After struggling in 49 appearances as a rookie, Schroder emerged as a versatile ball-handler off the bench during his second season with the Hawks. One could argue he was among the NBA's most impactful sixth men last season.
In just under 20 minutes per game, Schroder averaged 10 points and four assists while hitting 42.7 percent of his shots from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range. According to Basketball-Reference.com, Schroder was the only player to average 10 points and four dimes in less than 20 minutes per contest during the 2014-15 season.
This season, Atlanta's backup floor general averaged a career-high 11 points and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 42.1 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from three.
Jeff Teague gives the Hawks a safety blanket at point guard, but getting Schroder back in the lineup will provide a boost to the backcourt.
