Real Madrid Transfer News: David De Gea 'Fits' Club Plan, Huge Isco Rumours
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes Real Madrid will reignite their interest in Manchester United's David de Gea, despite the outstanding form of current goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
In his column for Sky Sports, the journalist said he thinks president Florentino Perez will ignore his No. 1's newly found status in the Spanish capital, and will launch a fresh bid for the goalkeeper in the coming months. Balague spoke about the performance levels of Navas since the summer:
"Keylor Navas is becoming the hero of Real Madrid, they haven't lost a game yet and they have only conceded three goals all season. That would lead some to say that they are a defensive team but, in fact, Navas is the goalkeeper that gets more shots on target of all the top European teams. He made 27 saves, four of them outstanding against Celta Vigo, and he's become the star of Real Madrid.

Navas has saved manager Rafael Benitez's side on many occasions, with his statistics hitting a world-class standard in the opening weeks of La Liga.
The 28-year-old has six clean sheets from nine league matches to his name and has conceded only 0.33 goals per game, according to Squawka.com.
However, the chase for De Gea shaped Madrid's summer, with the fall at the final hurdle an embarrassment to Los Blancos.
De Gea has also started the campaign brightly, with United sitting pretty at the correct end of the Premier League table.

He has been a calming influence in coach Louis van Gaal's defence, once again making a string of match-winning saves to accrue his side vital points.
The Guardian's Sid Lowe recently analysed the final hours of De Gea's collapsed move to Real, saying Perez was more than happy to swap the popular Madrid stopper for the United goalkeeper, who is viewed as his country's future:
"If United were always likely to be happy to keep De Gea, even if on the rebound, the same was not necessarily true of Madrid with Navas. They had reached an agreement with the United goalkeeper and were obliged to try to sign him, even if the price was creeping higher than they hoped for someone they could (back then) get next year for free.
Besides, they’d identified him as their star for years to come: young, talented, Spain’s future No1, someone who would properly replace Iker Casillas, on the pitch and among the public. Even those who thought Navas was an excellent goalkeeper (and there were many of them), even those who thought Navas should have replaced Casillas already (and there were many of them too), had few doubts that De Gea was an upgrade.
"

De Gea's stock continues to rise with the Spaniard signing a new deal with the Red Devils to remain a further four years, but Jamie Jackson of the Guardian reported the goalkeeper refused to deny he has an escape clause in his contract, allowing for a potential £30 million move away from the north west.
If the Spaniard has a release clause, Madrid will almost certainly approach the player once again as they look to add the Galactico who got away from them.
Isco Wants Madrid Exit
Spain midfielder Isco wants to leave the Bernabeu in January, with the highly rated 23-year-old a target for Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea.
Spanish football website Fichajes.com (h/t Adam Skinner of the Express) said the player has told Perez he wishes to leave, and wants a "change of scenery" after his 2013 move to Los Blancos.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and Blues manager Jose Mourinho are admirers of the diminutive talent, and they will be at the "front of the queue" if Perez allows Isco to depart.

The attacker has spent much of his time at Real on the fringes as he looked to become a regular starter, but he has featured heavily since Benitez's installation as coach, playing in all nine La Liga games this term, per WhoScored.com.
Benitez has fashioned Madrid into a much tougher defensive unit since taking the reins, with Navas and Isco important members of his starting XI.
Navas could not have done more to make Madristista's forget about De Gea, but as it's been seen from Perez in the past, great form will not keep a player in his ranks if he desires another.
Much will hinge on De Gea's feelings after his failed transfer to Real, and he could have a different view of Perez after the president's failure to complete the original deal.
However, the move back to his home city will always be a strong pull for the player, with Madrid the biggest club in world football in the hearts of many.
