Clemson vs. Miami: 58-0 Shutout Marks Worst Loss in Hurricanes History
Now is not a good time to be a member of the Miami Hurricanes.
On Saturday afternoon, the University of Miami suffered its worst loss in program history, a 58-0 beat down at the hands of the No. 6 Clemson Tigers.
According to Westwood One Sports' Jason Horowitz, it breaks a school record for the worst shutout loss, which was a 52-0 affair against Howard College in 1927. Howard College is now known as Samford.

It is also the largest margin of defeat in Hurricanes history, per CBSSports.com's Jon Solomon, as it breaks the record previously held by a 70-14 loss to Texas A&M in 1944.
The loss was tough on former players, as they took to Twitter to voice their displeasure of this year's team and their head coach, Al Golden.
Former Hurricane Leon Searcy, who was being honored during the game, was not in a celebrating mood:
Warren Sapp was calling for Golden's job:
Clemson out-gained Miami 567-146 on offense while picking up 33 first downs. Miami had just six all day. Add a Hurricanes passing game that averaged 2.6 yards per completion along with three interceptions and things were not going to end well for the green and orange.
Outings like this are not going to keep Golden around for much longer. At 4-3 this season with a program that once was the class of college football, setting school records for all of the wrong reasons is not a good way to make a case as to why you should keep your job.
