McNair Undergoing Extensive Hospital Tests
Wednesday, Oct. 14
The 20-year-old has spent three days having tests, according to Simon Jones and Chris Wheeler of the MailOnline. It is believed he might be allowed to return home on Wednesday to rest and recuperate.
Northern Ireland team doctor David White has remained with McNair during his hospital stay, and he is communicating with United's medical team to discuss a prognosis, per Jones and Wheeler.
BBC Sport's Simon Stone believes McNair will be out of first-team action for two weeks.
United's Depth Harmed by McNair Absence
The defender has only made one substitute appearance for coach Louis van Gaal this season, but he featured 16 times in the Premier League last term, according to WhoScored.com.
McNair was a surprise inclusion in LvG's early-season matchday squads during the 2014-15 campaign, but it was clear to see he was not out of place among his more illustrious peers.
The centre-back is one of United's most trusted young talents, and Van Gaal will want him back soon, having already seen Luke Shaw and Phil Jones both suffer injury setbacks this season.
