Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Neymar, Bruno Martins Indi and Koke Rumours
The international break has dominated the footballing spotlight in recent days, but that hasn't stopped Barcelona making the news with rumours involving Neymar, Bruno Martins Indi and Koke.
Following summer interest from Manchester United, per Globo Esporte (h/t Mirror), Neymar's future remains a major talking point, although the Brazilian may just have allayed fears over a Barca exit.

Additionally, both Martins Indi and Koke have been strongly linked with the club and might just find themselves sporting the famous red and blue shirt come 2016.
Neymar
The world-class striker has opened up about the prospect of signing a new contract with Barcelona, as relayed by Marca: "Of course I want to renew my contract, but there's time to discuss that."
A few short months back, things weren't so rosy as the Red Devils pursued him in an audacious effort to lure him away from the 2014/15 Champions League victors. At one point, a figure said to have been somewhere around the £140 million mark was floated by the 13-time Premier League champions, but the Catalan club held firm.
What's not been known until now, however, is that United were reportedly keen on making the Brazil international the highest-paid player in the world, as relayed by Spanish publication Sport (h/t the Daily Star).
Should Neymar depart, which looks increasingly unlikely, he would break up the deadliest attacking trident the country has ever seen. Alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, the trio bagged 122 goals across all competitions last season, as evidenced by this video:

Koke
Spanish daily Sport (via Inside Futbol) claims Barcelona are interested in signing Atletico Madrid's Koke.
Capable of playing in the centre of midfield, on the left or on the right, it's clear he is the type of performer a squad struggling with injuries would love to have in their ranks.

It's well known the troubles Barca have had with injuries this season. Whether it has been Rafinha, Messi or Andres Iniesta, the treatment room has become somewhat crowded in recent weeks. So, it's little surprise the club appear interested in signing Koke from their league rivals.
As highlighted by Bleacher Report's very own Rik Sharma, Koke would add some steely determination to the Barca make-up:
"Not only is he technically and tactically excellent, he is also an extremely hard worker, and that is something the Catalans need in the new "MSN" era. With Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar running riot up top, the midfield must graft."
However, Chelsea also seem keen on bringing the 23-year-old to London, reported by Sport (h/t talkSPORT), which could complicate things for the European champions.
AS journalist Santi Gimenez also detailed Barca's transfer woes, including information on financial fair play, which means they might not be able to make a purchase of Koke's size during the January window.
Bruno Martins Indi
In the summer of 2014, Martins Indi joined Porto from Dutch giants Feyenoord, but it seems he could be on the move again with a number of clubs sniffing around his availability.
According to Tuttomercato (via the Mirror), Barcelona are just one of the many clubs keeping tabs on the central defender at present.
No doubt, Barcelona fans will be very excited about the prospect of a new defender joining the team, especially considering how leaky they have been at the back since the new season kicked off. A brief look at their 12 fixtures to date (including the UEFA and Spanish Super Cup matches) shows they have already let in 20 goals.
Contrast that with last season where they conceded 38 times in 60 matches, as outlined by Goal.com's Ignasi Oliva and Ben Hayward.
Where to now for Barca?
The Blaugrana welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Camp Nou at the weekend so it will be back to the grindstone for them after a few days of rest and recharging. That match will offer them plenty of challenges, especially with Messi still out injured and there will be little time for them to think about potential transfers during the heat of a matchday.
Nevertheless, the board will have plenty of food for thought in the coming weeks. With capital low they might not be able to afford all of their desired transfer targets and may well have to plump for a loan option in the short term. Either that or they will have to gamble on taking on just one new player.
They'll have to make sure it's the right one, though, because the margins for error are tighter than ever before where even the slightest mistake can cost you dearly.
