Manchester United Transfer News: Thomas Muller Exit Hint, David Silva Revelation
Manchester United will be boosted by the news that Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has revealed he could be tempted by the wages in the Premier League.
According to the Mirror's Hamish Mackay, he told Welt am Sonntag:
"In the end, we should not forget that playing football is our job. So people should accept that wages will always play a role in a player's decision-making. Of course, the wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that."

Mackay's report noted the German was pursued by United throughout the summer to no avail, with Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge firmly taking the stance their star would not be for sold at any price.
According to Bundesliga expert Clark Whitney, the forward has an affinity for the Red Devils and enjoys a close relationship with manager Louis van Gaal from the Dutchman's time as Bayern boss:
While not quite playing on the same level as Robert Lewandowski at the moment, Muller has been in stunning form this season having scored 10 goals in 11 matches, and last year racked up 21 goals and 18 assists in all competitions.
Summer signing Anthony Martial has been something of a revelation up front for United since arriving from Monaco.
However, with captain Wayne Rooney looking less and less like the player who once terrorised defences with the speed and power of a freight train with each passing game, and several attacking players offloaded in the last transfer window, United look far from convincing going forward.
Muller would undoubtedly be a huge boost in that respect, and it seems like he could be open to a move.
Bayern are clearly reluctant to sell the German, but should he decide on a new challenge they may have little choice but to begrudgingly allow him to depart.
Another player United—or indeed any team—could use is Manchester City star David Silva, but it seems former manager Sir Alex Ferguson passed up on the opportunity to sign the Spaniard prior to him joining United's archrivals.

Per the Mirror's David McDonnell, he said:
"We watched Silva a lot when he was at Valencia...
My problem with that was you have to be very, very good to play in that position [the No. 10 role], because there's no defensive duties for them.
So if you're wanting to be be really successful, everyone has to do their turn, has to work, you know?
"
The creative midfielder is arguably the best in his position in the Premier League, if not the world.
According to Squawka, Silva has attempted 18 tackles in five appearances this season, or 3.6 per game. Though he has won just five, it does suggest the attacking midfielder is at least trying to help out his team—similarly to United's Juan Mata, who has attempted 3.75 tackles per game in his eight appearances.
Of course Mata fulfils a similar role to Silva and as WhoScored and the Times' James Ducker show, he compares very well to his international team-mate:
Nevertheless, Silva has since gone on to play a key role in two title wins for Man City, so not only have United missed out on an exceptional player, they've also allowed a rival to significantly improve their squad, and the Spaniard will undoubtedly continue to play his crucial part this season and beyond.
However, it's easy to criticise managers with the benefit of hindsight and countless fantastic players will have been overlooked at one point or another in their younger days.
