NASCAR Xfinity Series at Charlotte 2015 Results: Winner, Standings and Reaction
Austin Dillon won the Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday night in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Dillon, who does most of his competing in the Sprint Cup Series, has raced in only 15 Xfinity races, compared to his 29 Sprint Cup events in 2015. Yet this was his fourth Xfinity Series win of the season.
NASCAR caught a glimpse of his first moments in Victory Lane:
"Solid Saturday night for @austindillon3. #BCBSNC300 https://t.co/kqfWdTJqJm

It was quite a night for Dillon, who narrowly escaped injury before the race began, only to take the checkered flag at evening's end. AtTheBuzzer showed Dillon's pre-race run-in with some pyrotechnics:
Dillon made fireworks of his own on the track, overtaking Kyle Busch on the restart for the lead with 54 laps to go, never looking back and winning by a comfortable margin.
The points leader in the Xfinity standings, Chris Buescher, couldn't find a way to catch up to the leaders Friday. He got as high as third during the race but could muster only a sixth-place finish.
Sitting 24 points behind him entering Friday night in second place, Chase Elliott didn't fare much better, finishing in ninth. Here's a look at the updated points standings:
| Rank | Driver | Points |
| 1 | Chris Buescher | 1,055 |
| 2 | Chase Elliott | 1,029 |
| 3 | Regan Smith | 1,021 |
| 4 | Ty Dillon | 1,017 |
| 5 | Darrell Wallace Jr. | 943 |
| 6 | Elliott Sadler | 942 |

Roush Fenway Racing was pleased that Buescher still has the lead in the standings despite not bringing home a win:
The Sprint Cup drivers dominated from the get-go. Kasey Kahne led 34 of the first 40 laps before being overtaken by Busch.
The two would lock horns later in the race, shortly after the restart in which Busch lost the lead to Dillon. With 150 laps gone, Kahne sent Busch into the wall, forcing him off the track. Kahne didn't come out unscathed, but Busch had more damage. Kahne finished 12th on the night, while Busch dropped to 31st.
There are four races left for Buescher to hold on to his lead for the Xfinity Series title. He has to be wary of Elliott, who is just as capable of a top finish on any given night. The quest for the title is far from over, and the last four weeks are sure to be an entertaining affair.
