Grimes Leads Undersized Bucs Secondary

In his first season with the Bucs, Grimes came over as a free agent after being released by the Miami Dolphins. He had recorded 27 tackles and two interceptions entering Week 11.

2015 marked Grimes' third straight Pro Bowl, making it a bit surprising that the Dolphins moved on—even though he's had some high-profile off-field distractions. The Bucs signed him to a two-year, $16.5 million deal—a relative bargain if Grimes continues performing. The fact that it's not a long-term deal also makes it easier to move on if Grimes struggles to maintain his Pro Bowl form.

Tampa made the interesting decision to build around short (5'10") corners in Grimes and rookie Vernon Hargreaves.

"They're not going to grow," head coach Dirk Koetter said, per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. "They're not going to grow, all right? So we've got 5,000 stories out there about short corners. You can't b---h about your players. They're the ones you've got. These guys aren't going to grow."
