Arthur Abraham vs. Martin Murray Fight Announced: Date, Location and Prediction
Martin Murray’s bout with Arthur Abraham for the WBO super middleweight title has been announced for November 21 in Hannover, Germany. Sky Sports News HQ confirmed on Wednesday the fight was set.
Murray will be hoping to secure what would be a first world title. Since taking the rampant Gennady Golovkin to 11 rounds earlier in the year, the man from St. Helens, England, has responded with three strong performances, finishing George Beroshvili, Mirzet Bajrektarevic and Jose Miguel Torres inside the distance.

Murray’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, told Sky Sports that while this is a big step up in class for the 33-year-old, he has the talent to pull off a win:
"It's a big jump compared to his last two fights but it's not when you compare it to the rest of his CV.
It's probably come one fight quicker than I would have expected and although the Abraham fight seemed to be a fight the public and Martin were calling for, it wasn't necessarily top of my list. It's tough going to Germany.
The opportunity presented itself and there was no stopping Martin Murray. He has to take this opportunity. I think it's a very winnable fight but a tough fight.
"

Abraham is a mightily experienced competitor, though, with a career record of 43-4. He last fought in July, stopping longstanding nemesis Robert Stieglitz in Round 6.
Boxing journalist Sean McCormick thinks Murray has the quality to go to Germany and get the better of Abraham in front of a home crowd:
It’ll be tough for the Englishman, but he certainly looks a lot more at home in the super middleweight class. While he was durable against Golovkin, Murray struggled to put together much in terms of offensive punching; bulked up, his power will be a much more pertinent weapon against the German.
Abraham is enjoying something of a renaissance late in his career, though. The 35-year-old dispatched Paul Smith twice before his win over Stieglitz and will be confident his rounded style of fighting could be too much for Murray to handle. As such, expect the Englishman to fall just again in pursuit of that coveted world crown.
Prediction: Abraham to win on points.
