Marco Amelia to Chelsea: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More
Chelsea have signed Italian goalkeeper Marco Amelia as Blues coach Jose Mourinho looks for a quick fix to cover the injury to No. 1 stopper Thibaut Courtois.

The 33-year-old was a member of the Italy 2006 World Cup-winning squad, and he left the Rossoneri last year, going on to represent amateur side Rocca Priora.
Courtois is expected to be out of action until December, according to Sky Sports, with Mourinho recently expressing his desire to immediately add cover after the Blues were linked with Porto goalkeeper Helton: "Helton has a contract with Porto and would only be available in January. We need a goalkeeper now, not in January when Courtois will be available."

Amelia made his name at Livorno where he played for seven seasons, moving on Palermo and Genoa before landing at the San Siro.
However, the goalkeeper only made 24 starts in Serie A for Milan in his four years at the club, per WhoScored.com, often finding himself on the bench.
Amelia is a solid option for the Special One as he looks to hold together his crumbling defence, who look severely effected by the loss of Courtois.
Asmir Begovic is an able deputy for the Belgium international, but Chelsea need to survive until Christmas, when the stopper is due to return to the starting XI.
