Benjamin's Return Adds Top Playmaker to Browns Offense

Benjamin is arguably the team’s top offensive weapon. He was an unproven contributor coming into the season, but he quickly established himself as a deep threat who can beat defenders over the top on any given play.

He is not a significant red-zone threat on jump balls at 5’10”, but he uses his speed and burst to stretch the field and create separation against press coverage from cornerbacks.

Benjamin's return adds to a receiving corps that also contains Andrew Hawkins, Brian Hartline and Gary Barnidge.

Hartline topped 1,000 receiving yards in 2012 and 2013, and the 5’7” Hawkins provides a similar speed threat to Benjamin. Barnidge is a touchdown machine at tight end, and running back Duke Johnson Jr. is a capable pass-catcher out of the backfield.

The main questions surrounding the Browns entering the 2015 season centered on quarterback play from the inconsistent Josh McCown and the inexperienced Johnny Manziel. Cleveland needs all the receiving help it can get with Manziel under center for the injured McCown.
