JSF Goes to Cooperstown: Fan Hunting
One common mantra for fans of the National Pastime is that, if you truly appreciate the game of baseball, a trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY is something you need to carve out time to do in your lifetime. This past weekend, JSF’s Josh Bacott did just that and he was able to document the experience for JoeSportsFan.
True to form, a prominent theme on the JSF radar when entering Cooperstown was the observation of not only the featured exhibits but the fellow “fans” that would be strolling through the museum and the town at the same time.

Not surprisingly, the most common method of pledging your allegiance at a stadium remained consistent in Cooperstown – and thankfully we are not referring to using body paint in a variety of manners. While there is no game action to cheer for, it does not mean that paying customers won’t use the Hall of Fame as a platform to announce which team and players they support…
But to wear a jersey or t-shirt is to proclaim yourself a common fan in the eyes of some. Anyone can pay a few bucks for a cotton rag featuring the name and number of their favorite player, especially in Cooperstown where the surrounding blocks are littered with baseball memorabilia and clothing stores. It takes a true elite fan to crank things up to the next level. ###MORE###
And when visiting the town that is home to the mecca of professional baseball, “the next level” is below the waist…
But even this gentlemen comes up short of wearing a “full” uniform. He forgot his stirrups. Rookie…
Either this Yanks fan just strolled in from the bullpen or he is way more dedicated that the rest of us. Well way more dedicated than most of us anyway.
