Pennsylvania Eliminated, Ohio Sends a Message

The Levittown team of 1960 will remain the last Pennsylvania team to win the Little League World Series, at least for now, after East Side Little League from West Chester was bounced from the tournament on Monday.

The loss came in extra innings, which was needed only because the host state conceded a five-run lead.

Pitcher Kinley Rasmus righted the ship for Alabama as she held East Side scoreless and Brooks Cameron delivered the game-winning RBI to keep the Phenix team in the hunt for a title.

Elsewhere, West Side Little League from Hamilton, Ohio, hung six runs on Boerne Little League from Texas, eliminating them and advancing to Tuesday's slate of games.

Overcoming a loss in their first game, the Ohio squad has won two straight, with its bats coming alive to put up 16 runs in their last two games.
