Ranking WWE's 10 Most Untouchable Superstars Today
Some stars in WWE are simply on a level of their own.
As integral as a wrestler's popularity is to their success in WWE, it's far from everything. It always comes down to the booking and how the powers that be ultimately want them to be perceived by the audience.
LA Knight is a prime example of an individual who has superseded expectations with the main roster run he's had over the last few years, at least in terms of how beloved he's become. However, not being supported by the booking in the slightest has resulted in him losing way more matches than he's won, especially when it has mattered most.
Chelsea Green finds herself in a similar situation where she organically got herself over and is now the reigning WWE Women's champion, but nothing about how she's been positioned in recent months would indicate the company is keen on protecting her in the slightest.
From how prominently they're featured to how strongly they're booked, only an elite few WWE Superstars can consider themselves truly "untouchable" at the moment.
10. Trick Williams
1 of 10
Trick Williams just recently lost the United States Championship to Baron Corbin, but that shouldn't be seen as an indictment on his trajectory in WWE. If anything, it may have been designed to free him up for bigger and better things going forward.
Williams' main roster run so far has been practically perfect. Since he was over with the audience from the moment he was called up to SmackDown at the onset of 2026, WWE wasted no time in aggressively pushing him as a singles star.
He had strong showings in the men's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches before going on to win the United States Championship at WrestleMania 42, a title he held and defended for nearly four months before losing it at SummerSlam.
Not only has he barely been beaten, his back-to-back losses to Corbin weren't clean. It took an inadvertent distraction from Lil Yachty at SummerSlam and a belt shot on the subsequent SmackDown for Corbin to put him down for the three count each time.
They resumed their rivalry on Friday's SmackDown, so in addition to being a frontrunner to win the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match in October, he could regain the star-spangled prize sooner rather than later.
WWE views Williams as a very promising prospect and rightfully so.
9. Jey Uso
2 of 10
Despite how heavily he's been featured on Raw in recent months, make no mistake about it: The booking of Jey Uso in 2026 compared to where he was on the card a year ago is definitely a demotion.
Uso would have been slotted significantly higher on this list during his World Heavyweight Championship run and in the months that followed, as it felt like he was almost always in the main event of Raw and rarely suffered defeat.
Roman Reigns has since usurped him in that spot, but Uso remains a key player in Raw's main event scene right now as a member of The Bloodline. He ate the pinfall loss in the six-man tag team match at SummerSlam but quickly rebounded by beating Solo Sikoa on the Aug. 10 edition of Raw.
It isn't clear whether he's supposed to be a babyface, a heel or a tweener, but his popularity has hardly wavered. He still gets world champion-level reactions every time he makes an entrance on his own, so it isn't surprising to see why WWE continues to protect him more often than not and position him toward the top of the card, more so than Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu.
8. Tiffany Stratton
3 of 10
Similar to Trick Williams, Tiffany Stratton had the rocket strapped to her back fairly early on in her main roster run.
She became Ms. Money in the Bank within a matter of months, cashed in successfully to capture the WWE Women's Championship six months later and lost only a few matches in all of 2025.
That hasn't drastically changed in 2026, either.
She was left off the WrestleMania 42 card but excelled in both the women's Royal Rumble match and inside the Elimination Chamber. She then won the Women's United States Championship and defended it against the likes of Kiana James, Lash Legend and Jade Cargill before finally losing it to Jacy Jayne on Friday's SmackDown.
Although Stratton is stagnant as a babyface, she's constantly in the championship conversation. As such, it shouldn't be long before she betrays her new best friend Chelsea Green and attempts to take the Interim WWE Women's Championship from her.
Stratton will be an important player in WWE's women's division for years to come.
7. Liv Morgan
4 of 10
Liv Morgan has arguably been the second best booked women's wrestler during the Triple H regime of WWE, as she's more than made the most of everything she's been involved in over the last few years.
It was painfully apparent that she wasn't meant to be a focal point during her brief reign as SmackDown Women's champion in 2022, but upon winning the Women's World Championship in 2024 and joining The Judgment Day, her stock soared and she was finally able to live up to her full potential.
The newfound push also meant she'd be afforded more opportunities to show what she was capable of in the ring. She's made great strides in that regard as well as on the microphone, becoming one of WWE's hottest commodities in the process.
Of course, there's no excusing how lazily booked her latest run with the Women's World title has been, but she was able to silence some of her detractors with her win over (and excellent match with) Iyo Sky at SummerSlam.
Her immense popularity speaks for itself, and while she does lose every now and again, the entire Raw women's division has revolved around her this year for a reason. WWE has shown zero signs of slowing down her push anytime soon.
6. Seth Rollins
5 of 10
During SummerSlam's Night 1 post-show press conference, Triple H outright acknowledged fans' frustration with seeing the same Superstars in the same spots, but as he said himself, they're in those spots because they're still over and valuable.
That especially applies to Seth Rollins, who has been one of WWE's most prominent players regardless of the regime for the last decade-plus.
He's a six-time world champion in WWE and fresh off yet another SummerSlam main event, where he fell short against Roman Reigns. Prior to that, he won his feud with Bron Breakker, dominated Raw as the leader of The Vision and held the World Heavyweight Championship on and off between 2023 and 2025.
Rollins isn't undefeated as he's already lost three premium live event matches this year to Gunther, Breakker and Reigns, but he'll never be treated as anything less than a headliner for the rest of his career. He has cemented his status as WWE's biggest workhorse and will never have to worry about being bumped down the card unless it's his choice to take a step back.
Rollins is as reliable as they come and has earned every ounce of success he's attained.
5. CM Punk
6 of 10
CM Punk will always be best known for lighting the wrestling world on fire with some of the stellar work he was doing between 2011 and 2013, but a case can absolutely be made for him being better booked and more protected since he's been back in WWE.
The self-proclaimed Best in the World has been holding world title gold for the better part of the past nine months. In fact, after his five-month run as World Heavyweight champion was ended by Roman Reigns on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, he disappeared until early July, where he resurfaced on Raw in Chicago and immediately unseated Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Such treatment is exclusively reserved for the tippy-top talent in WWE.
It isn't undeserved, either. Punk has been putting in the work as a full-time performer and has brought the best out of everyone he's worked with in the three years he's been back with the company.
He lost a fair amount in 2025 but has largely been protected since last fall, only eating losses when it has meant something. He's fresh off a successful defense against Cody Rhodes (who's even more protected than Punk is) at SummerSlam and is now embroiled in a heated rivalry with Kevin Owens over the prestigious prize.
Punk occasionally looks his age while he's wrestling but otherwise never ceases to deliver the goods. Fans should appreciate his output of excellence while he's still around before it's too late.
4. Rhea Ripley
7 of 10
WWE hadn't crowned an interim champion in several years before bringing back the concept in the wake of Rhea Ripley's recent injury. That's a testament to just how highly WWE views Ripley and how badly they didn't want to strip her of the WWE Women's Championship while she's out injured.
Ripley rose to super stardom soon after arriving on the main roster in 2021 and especially after turning heel and joining The Judgment Day the following year. Upon embracing the audience as a babyface in early 2024, she truly took off as one of WWE's biggest stars.
Ever since then, WWE has gone to great lengths to ensure that The Eradicator is involved in something of substance at all times. After being forced to vacate the Women's World Championship in April 2024, she spent the rest of the year chasing to get it back before finally regaining it at the onset of 2025.
It was almost exactly a year later that she won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Iyo Sky before adding the WWE Women's Championship to her collection at WrestleMania 42. In other words, Ripley is no stranger to having gold around her waist.
It seems the only thing that can slow her down is an injury because otherwise, she can't be stopped and poses the biggest threat to every woman on the roster.
3. Oba Femi
8 of 10
Oba Femi's two wins over Brock Lesnar alone sent the message that WWE has major plans for him going forward, as they should.
The two-time NXT champion left a lasting impact in his official main roster debut in the men's Royal Rumble match and soon settled into a rivalry with Lesnar heading into WrestleMania 42. There, he beat The Beast quickly and decisively, a feat not many can lay claim to.
With that win, Femi entered WWE's upper echelon, and almost overnight, he essentially stole the spot Lesnar once occupied. He went on to rack up several more victories before suffering his first defeat at the hands of Lesnar at Clash in Italy, only to avenge that loss inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam.
Much like Lesnar, Femi also has an aura about him whenever he makes his entrance. He's booked like an absolute star, and sure enough, he comes across like one, too. With that said, it's merely a matter of when and not if he'll be winning a world title.
If that isn't until WrestleMania 43 next spring, expect him to continue carving a path of destruction in the meantime.
2. Cody Rhodes
9 of 10
Cody Rhodes was anointed WWE's new face of the franchise the moment he dethroned Roman Reigns as Undisputed WWE Universal champion at WrestleMania 40. The move could be seen coming two years out when he initially returned to the company and checked every box for what it would take to be the next top babyface.
It was at one point unfathomable to think that the former Stardust, who couldn't buy himself a win before leaving WWE on his own accord a decade ago, would eventually ascend to the heights that he has. That also required him to step up his game and become the world champion-caliber competitor many fans long felt he could be.
In the two years since his crowning moment at 'Mania, he's had a consistent presence in the main event mix and specifically in title contention. He's held the top title three times, has headlined almost every major premium live event and has defeated anyone with a name.
It's been rare for him to lose and even rarer for it to be clean. There's usually shenanigans to justify him not winning, such as when Randy Orton returned at SummerSlam to cost him the WWE title.
His Superman-esque booking has resulted in the crowd turning on him from time to time, but his innate ability to rise above it and use it to his advantage is exactly why he's where he is right now.
1. Roman Reigns
10 of 10
WWE has been heavily protecting Roman Reigns from the very beginning of his main roster run and that's obviously only increased since then.
Reigns evolving into The Tribal Chief and kicking off his historic reign as universal champion made him WWE's most untouchable talent, both from a booking standpoint and with how his exceptional work trumped everyone else's during that period.
He lost a little of that prestige after losing the title to Cody Rhodes, and he started losing a little more frequently to the likes of Solo Sikoa, Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed. However, he returned to form when he won the men's Royal Rumble earlier this year followed by the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.
He then put together a new version of The Bloodline, and just like that, it was almost as if he was back at his peak. His successful title defenses against Jacob Fatu and Seth Rollins indicated he isn't dropping that piece of hardware until WrestleMania 43 at the earliest.
Reigns is more of a regular on Raw now than he has been in the past, but his infrequent appearances make him more of an attraction for when he does show up. He's mastered the art of carrying himself like a mega star in a way where no one else comes close, making him WWE's most invulnerable entity today.
