Seth Rollins Kicked Off Raw
2 of 10
Last Time in Action: Seth Rollins lost to Gunther (WrestleMania 42, April 18)
Moments after a face-to-face altercation with world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins entered the arena to a thunderous ovation, only to be attacked from behind by Bron Breakker.
The Badass brutally assaulted The Architect, dropping him face-first into the barricade, then sending him shoulder-first into the ring steps.
Breakker assaulted security before being backed off and up the ramp by Raw general manager Adam Pearce. Not finished with Rollins, he pushed past security and destroyed his former mentor with a spear.
The heel stood tall, talked trash to Rollins, and made his way up the ramp to close things out.

Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh
3 of 10
Last Time in Action: Finn Balor defeated JD McDonagh (Raw, April 20)
Backstage, women's world champion Liv Morgan grilled Roxanne Perez about how Balor got into the Judgment Day's clubhouse and why she was talking to him. The Prodigy pledged her allegiance to the faction before Morgan tapped her and Raquel Rodriguez to win the women's tag titles...as long as there are no more secrets.
In the arena, Balor squared off with McDonagh for the second time in as many weeks.
The inaugural universal champion dominated early, but interference from Dominik Mysterio turned the tide in McDonagh's favor, just in time for Perez to make her presence felt entering the commercial break.
Balor fought his way back into the match, overcame an ugly Spanish Fly, and appeared poised to deliver the Coup de Grace until Mysterio crotched him on the top rope. Referee Jessika Carr kicked Mysterio out, but the numbers game proved too much as Morgan tossed Perez the timekeeper's hammer and the Prodigy utilized it on the babyface, setting up a headbutt and a win for McDonagh.

McDonagh defeated Balor

Penta and Je'Von Evans vs. Ethan Page and Rusev
4 of 10
Last Time in Action: Penta defeated Rusev (Raw, April 27); Ethan Page defeated Je'Von Evans (Raw, April 20)
Backstage, Paul Heyman informed The Vision that Austin Theory will battle Joe Hendry later tonight.
As the war over the Intercontinental Championship wages on, titleholder Penta partnered with Je'Von Evans to battle "All Ego" Ethan Page and Rusev in tag team action.
A back-and-forth match saw Penta escape Page's Twisted Grin, only to deliver a Penta Driver, but fail to keep the former NXT champion down for three ahead of the commercial break.
Back from the timeout, Penta created separation and was inches from a hot tag when Rusev pulled Evans off the apron. With no partner to tag, Penta found himself on the receiving end of a beatdown at the hands of the heels.
The champion finally tagged The Young OG in, and Evans exploded into the match, soaring through the air as he took the fight to the opposition. The action broke down from there, with Evans teasing a huge leap of faith, only for Page to send him to the floor.
Elsewhere, Rusev delivered a uranage on Penta onto the announce table, and All Ego pinned the luchador following a fisherman buster for the win.

Page and Rusev defeated Penta and Evans

Sol Ruca Signs With Raw
5 of 10
Last Time in Action: Sol Ruca lost to Zaria (NXT, April 21)
Newest NXT call-up Sol Ruca joined Raw general manager Adam Pearce in the squared circle to sign her main roster contract.
Before she could put pen to paper, women's intercontinental champion Becky Lynch interrupted, spoiling her big moment and confronting Pearce.
Ruca cut off her ramblings and called her a "big-headed b---h," before signing her name on the dotted line. She threatened Big Time Becks, warning that if she ever interrupts her again, she will not only kick her ass but also snatch her soul.
Lynch tried a sneak attack but clocked Pearce, then ate a less-than-stellar Sol Snatcher as the newcomer stood tall.

A standard match saw Hendry fend off Theory, only for Paul to interfere, drawing a disqualification.

Fresh off his dominant victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, Femi tossed the former Olympic powerlifter around the ring. From there, he positioned him on the ropes and delivered a massive Fall From Grace powerbomb to secure the short, sweet victory.
"Oba Femi is becoming a phenomenon in this business," Corey Graves said on commentary to put over the jaw-dropping win.

The action-packed six-man tag saw all six combatants shine late, each delivering a signature move, culminating in a big splash from Rayo to OG, but only keeping him down for two.

MVP and Overall Grade
10 of 10
Seth Rollins was the MVP of this week's show, not only for bumping around the ring to put Bron Breakker over ahead of Backlash but also for his place at the center of larger stories.
First, he faced off with Roman Reigns, teasing a match that is coming sooner rather than later. It would be their first one-on-one contest since Royal Rumble 2022 and a long-awaited bout between former Shield teammates.
Second, he faced the fact that no one in the company likes or trusts him, thanks to the years of deceit and the countless burned bridges along the way. How he endears himself to them, and which Superstar steps up and accepts him first, will be of great interest in the coming weeks and months.
While Reigns is around and CM Punk is not far away, Rollins will be the centerpiece of the show for the foreseeable future.
Overall Grade: B+
This was a solid show, even if the main event segment did not deliver as one would hope ahead of Backlash.
Everything leading up to the contract signing was great, with strong in-ring action, some intriguing storyline developments, and another impressive showing from Oba Femi.
A focused, intense show from WWE Creative earns this one a quality grade.
