Will Dylan Raiola Leave Nebraska? Top Landing Spots amid CFB Transfer Rumors
Two years after his stunning commitment to Nebraska after initially planning to attend Georgia, Dylan Raiola could put his name in the transfer portal in January.
Per CBS Sports' Chris Hummer, Nebraska is "bracing" for Raiola to explore potential transfer options when this season ends.
This is the second consecutive year that the Huskers are at risk of losing their starting quarterback.

In an article for 247Sports in December 2024, Hummer cited Miami and Alabama as two potential landing spots for Raiola if he opted to leave Nebraska. He wound up reaffirming his commitment to the program amid the speculation.
The speculation about Dylan's future started to pick up last week when his brother, Dayton, decommitted from Nebraska and re-opened his recruitment leading up to the early signing period from Dec. 3-5.
One thing Hummer did point out is that money won't be the deciding factor if Raiola decides to enter the transfer portal because he is already among the highest-paid FBS players.
Pete Nakos of On3.com reported in August that Raiola is making more than $3 million this season between roster value and NIL deals, including sponsorships with Adidas and Panini.
Hummer added the Huskers are expected to increase their NIL and revenue share payout in 2026 and plan to "spend heavily" to keep "vital" players on their roster.
Both Alabama and Miami could factor heavily into the quarterback market this offseason. Ty Simpson of the Crimson Tide is being projected as a potential top-three pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Miami spent a reported $4 million to bring in Carson Beck as a transfer from Georgia. The sixth-year senior will finally exhaust his college eligibility after this season.
Alabama does have Jett Thomalla, a 4-star quarterback recruit, coming in as part of the 2026 class. Miami's best incoming quarterback recruit is Dereon Coleman, a 3-star player from Jones High School.
Raiola was a 5-star recruit and No. 7 overall player in the 2023 class. He originally committed to Georgia in May of that year before flipping to Nebraska in December 2023.
Dominic Raiola, Dylan's father, played on the offensive line for the Huskers from 1998 to 2000.
Dylan has thrown for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 22 career starts. His 2025 season came to an end on Nov. 1 when he suffered a broken right fibula in a 21-17 loss to USC.
Nebraska was 6-3 in Raiola's nine starts this season. The Huskers are 7-4 overall going into Friday's regular-season finale against Iowa.
