Jabari Price Suspended 2 Games for Violating NFL Substance Abuse Policy
The NFL suspended Minnesota Vikings cornerback Jabari Price for the first two games of the regular season Friday after a violation of the league's policy and program for substances of abuse.
A statement posted on the Vikings' official site confirmed the punishment. Price can still participate in training camp as well as preseason games, but he won't get paid once the suspension goes into effect.
The cornerback also released a statement through the NFLPA.

"I sincerely apologize to my family, my teammates, the Vikings organization and Vikings fans for the mistake I made last winter," Price said. "I can assure you that it will never happen again. I look forward to returning to helping my team on the field in Week 3."
Ben Goessling of ESPN reported back in April that Price pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of careless driving after getting arrested in December for DWI. The second-year player out of North Carolina was forced to pay a $300 fine and had 30 days of electronic home monitoring.
Price appeared in 14 games last season, registering just 10 combined tackles while working mostly on special teams. He'll head into camp trying to earn a more prominent role in the defensive backfield alongside Xavier Rhodes, Terence Newman and Trae Waynes.
He'll return to the active roster on Monday, Sept. 21, with an eye on getting back in action for the team's Week 3 clash with the San Diego Chargers.
