NXT Halloween Havoc 2025 features Ricky Starks vs. Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne vs. Tatum Paxley.

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2025 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights

Kevin BergeOct 25, 2025

NXT headed to the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona for the 2026 edition of Halloween Havoc, featuring five championship matches.

Ricky Saints put the NXT Championship on the line against former champion Trick Williams. Would The Absolute Era survive one of NXT's most prolific stars?

Jacy Jayne looked to continue her dominant reign as NXT women's champion, but she faced a chaotic challenge in Tatum Paxley. Could this be the end for Fatal Influence's leader?

"All Ego" Ethan Page hoped to stay on top as North American champion. Did he have what it takes to defeat AAA's Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. in a Day of the Dead match?

The Hardy Boyz promised to bring DarkState into their madness. Was the group ready for a Broken Rules match for the NXT Tag Team Championships?

Blake Monroe hoped to capture hold in NXT for the first time, but she faced a motivated Zaria. Could Zaria defend her friend Sol Ruca's Women's North American Championship successfully?

Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater promised a spectacle in a tag team showcase with Mr. Iguana and La Parka.

This was an important night for NXT, but what would it deliver? Could this show set NXT on a greater course, or would it just be a spectacle show of predictable outcomes?

Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater vs. Mr. Iguana and La Parka

1 of 7

Last Time in Action: Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater defeated The Culling (NXT, September 30); La Parka, Mr. Iguana and Laredo Kid defeated Los Vipers (AAA, October 19).

While Evans and Slater had trouble matching the chaotic energy of Iguana and Parka, their sheer athleticism won out. The X-Division champion won it with Swanton 450 Splash.

While the crowd enjoying the exciting action, this never felt like it needed to be on a premium live event stage. This was a thrown-together match that was relying heavily on the action alone.

The Young OG and X-Division champion are consistently good together and could take over NXT's tag division if TNA is willing to keep sending their champion for that role.

The main issue was that Iguana and Parka never had a chance to keep up.

NXT took a big risk with betting on Parka for this spot, and he stood out as a weakest link throughout this contest. He was not as fast as his competition, and his execution was sloppy in moments.

Iguana is fun and popular with the crowd, but his signature style feels a bit out of place against two babyface high fliers. He works best messing with heels.

The right teams obviously won, especially since Evans and Slater have unfinished business with DarkState.

Result

Evans and Slater def. Parka and Iguana by pinfall.

Grade

D+

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Iguana was popular throughout this match, getting the loudest chants.
  • Evans and Slater looked like a tag team through their in-ring chemistry as well as their green-and-pink matching tights.
  • Booker T talked up his history with Parka, even though that was a different man under the mask. This Parka has only worn the mask since May 2025.
  • The crowd went especially wild for Slater jumping clean over the post onto both AAA stars in the far barricade corner.
  • Evans and Slater struggled to deal with La Yesca throughout this contest. As they tried to rally, Yesca rose up the apron like he was Keith Lee.

Day of the Dead - North American Championship: Ethan Page vs. Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

2 of 7

Last Time in Action: "All Ego" Ethan Page defended successfully against Mustafa Ali (NXT, October 7); Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Lexis King (NXT, October 7).

Page and Wagner brutalized each other throughout this match, but things got extra personal after All Ego ripped open the luchador's mask.

The tricks continued from Page, who pulled out the powder to blind his opponent before hitting Twisted Grin through the table to win.

The crowd was less into this match to start due to the limited build of Wagner, but he absolutely delivered in this match. He forced this crowd to engage, especially as he heated up down the stretch.

It always helps to work with a veteran as good as Page, who has consistently delivered NXT PLE showstoppers. This may have stolen the show again while elevating Wagner to the next level.

The way the two built up Page's disrespect, ripping and twisting at his mask more and more, sold why Wagner was cheated in a technically fair manner.

Hopefully, this will lead to more appearances from the AAA Latin American champion in NXT, who has the talent to become one of the company's breakout starsin WWE as well.

Page's win was expected and the right call at this stage. He has been on a roll and should keep the gold at least until Raw or SmackDown are ready to call him up (which should be soon).

Result

Page def. Wagner by pinfall to retain the North American Championship.

Grade

A

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Vic Joseph noted that Page has held his championship for nearly 150 days. Booker T incorrectly corrected Joseph to say it was 6 (instead of 5) months.
  • Apparently, Day of the Dead matches include darker mood lighting. It occasionally obscured the action and was always distracting.
  • Page came out in half face paint, and the other half of paint got bloodied during the contest.
  • Unsurprisingly, this match went five minutes without tables, thus requiring a "We Want Tables!" chant.
  • Wagner started to pull a table out, but Page stopped him to boos then threw the luchador throat-first into one of the standing table legs.
  • The luchador nearly won after a Coast-to-Coast, but Page fought back and hit an Ego's Edge on a trash can for a near-fall.
  • In Ava's office, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights argued over who would fight Josh Briggs next, and Ava decided they should fight each other instead.

Women's North American Championship: Zaria (c) (w/ Sol Ruca) vs. Blake Monroe

3 of 7

Last Time in Action: Zaria and Sol Ruca lost in their bid for the Women's Tag Team Championships against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair (SmackDown, October 17); Blake Monroe defeated Zaria (NXT, October 7).

While Sol stood in Zaria's corner as a support, she was actually a distraction when it mattered most.

The Glamour knocked down Sol's crutch then threw Zaria into her friend when she checked on her. This set up two Glamour Shots out of the ring and inside to seal the win.

It was likely that Monroe was always going to win the championship on this night. It is a shame that she did not get that match with Sol, but the replacement champion played her role well.

In particular, the technical focus on Zaria's arm sold why The Glamour had her powerhouse opponent on the back foot in this contest.

The execution was not perfect as Monroe continues to look a bit less comfortable with the WWE style (working with a less physical edge).

Zaria got a big spotlight and did well with it, even if she did not look like she was ready to carry one of the major titles in NXT yet.

Monroe has a chance to redefine the Women's North American Championship with her character work and will have plenty of fresh challengers to fight.

Result

Monroe def. Zaria by pinfall to win the Women's North American Championship.

Grade

B

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Backstage earlier in the night, with Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame mocked Zaria and Sol.
  • Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan talked in the Knockouts champion's locker room. Grace wanted a shot at the title and slapped the champ.
  • Monroe attacked Zaria immediately at the bell, going right at the left elbow, which was a target all match.
  • Sol helped Ruca reset the shoulder outside by pushing her into the apron.
  • Monroe pulled out the hair pin that helped her beat Zaria the first time, but Zaria caught her with a Spear for a near-fall instead.
  • Booker repeatedly stated that Monroe won in "record time". Vic tried to correct him but gave up quickly.

NXT Women's Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Tatum Paxley

4 of 7

Last Time in Action: Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid defeated Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame (NXT, October 21).

Jacy Jayne had Paxley on the ropes throughout this match until Fatal Influence and The Culling were thrown out of this match by the referee.

After a dramatic back-and-forth, both groups returned, and Izzi Dame distracted Jayne to allow Paxley to hit the Psycho Trap for the victory.

The execution was not always crisp, but this was an emotional journey, playing to the crowd's love of Paxley. They wanted to see the underdog pick it up.

The pace of this match had the crowd at a fever pitch down the stretch, selling the emotional high of the evening as Paxley finally won the NXT Women's Championship.

Paxley made her debut with NXT in 2022 and has consistently established herself as a rising star for the brand.

However, it never felt like it was going to be "her time". If she had not won here, Paxley may have never won gold in NXT.

Luckily, this was the moment. NXT committed to Paxley, who has a chance to fully showcase her talent time and again for NXT in the future.

This likely should have been the main event because nothing else this show could deliver would feel this cathartic.

Result

Paxley def. Jayne by pinfall to win the NXT Women's Championship.

Grade

A+

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Any attempts to support Jayne were overwhelmed by chants in support of Paxley.
  • Paxley came in with a taped-up left shoulder, and she worked the whole match trying to avoid overusing that arm.
  • Jayne trapped Paxley in the apron sleeve. Paxley slipped away but got again by the champion, who catapulted her jaw into the metal frame of the ring.
  • Early on, The Culling was useless in protecting Paxley from the attacks of Fatal Influence.
  • Spears made the crucial save when he got Paxley's leg on the rope after an avalanche neckbreaker.
  • This started a brawl between The Culling and Fatal Influence, and the official threw out everyone.
  • Paxley nearly took it all with a Rolling Encore followed by a 450 splash. "Ref, you suck!" followed the count.
  • Backstage, Lash Legend got in Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey's faces. Grey agreed to face Legend on NXT for the Evolve Championship.

Broken Rules - NXT Tag Team Championships: Broken Hardys vs. DarkState

5 of 7

Last Time in Action: The Hardy Boyz successfully defended the NXT and TNA Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz (TNA Bound for Glory, October 12); Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin lost the NXT Tag Team Championships to Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy (NXT, October 7).

"Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero competed in their most Broken form for the first time in WWE, willing to take on all four members of DarkState alone in Broken Rules.

Even after taking out Saquon Shugars and Cutler James, this match turned the wrong way for The Hardys, who went down to a ladder-assisted Doomsday Device through a table on Jeff to seal the win.

This was a pure plunder match, heavily relying on ladders and tables for most of the action in this match.

Luckily, that style of match has allowed Matt and Jeff to keep up with much younger talent and deliver crowd pleasers.

Once James and Shugars were taken out (spending way too long just laying out on the outside rather than going to the back), this got fun, especially showcasing DarkState's aces.

It was obvious that Jeff and Matt were struggling down the stretch physically, but Lennox and Griffin looked like they could have gone a while longer.

It would have felt off for The Hardy Boyz to beat the younger, hungrier team, especially with some early help, so it was the right call to move the NXT Tag Team Championships back to DarkState.

It does make The Hardys run as champions feel unnecessary though, just to pad the state of one of wrestling's most decorated teams.

This win sets the stage for DarkState to go on a run, but Leon Slater and Je'Von Evans could also continue the hot potato of the tag titles.

Result

Lennox and Griffin def. Jeff and Matt by pinfall to regain the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Grade

B-

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Jeff and Matt came out to their Broken theme to fully emphasize that they are not the same Hardy Boyz that won the gold a few weeks back.
  • Vic Joseph had to repeatedly explain this unique look at The Hardy Boyz as the Broken gimmick is a TNA gimmick over WWE.
  • Jeff and Matt took out Cutler and Shugars with a Swanton Bomb and diving leg drop through ringside tables.
  • Lennox and Griffin hit Jeff and Matt with a 3D for a near-fall in honor of the now retired Dudley Boyz.
  • Lennox flew over the barricade onto Matt followed by Griffin Spearing Jeff through the barricade.
  • Jeff went for a Swanton Bomb off a high ladder, but Griffin ducked out and let him fall through two tables at ringside.
  • Afterward, Evans and Slater agreed to take the NXT Tag Team Championships from DarkState to get them back for their Bound for Glory sneak attack.

NXT Championship: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Trick Williams

6 of 7

Last Time in Action: Ricky Saints and Trick Williams lost as members of Team NXT against Team TNA (NXT, October 7).

Saints proved himself as NXT champion throughout this fight, taking Trick's best shots and winning after a Spear and tornado DDT.

After Saints' celebration, the camera went to the back where The Culling celebrated, and Tatum Paxley promised even more crazy in NXT starting on Tuesday.

On a night with multiple memorable title changes and matches, this was not nearly at the level required for the main event spot.

Trick and Saints worked this as a highly personal heavyweight clash, moving at a methodical pace especially after the early flurry.

The back-and-forth taunts played decently to the crowd, but this crowd never invested as much in this as the previous two matches.

Even with a flurry of offense late from Trick that should have been enough to win against most, it never truly felt like the challenger was a threat to the champion.

This was worked in the main event spot to sell The Absolute One as the top guy in NXT. He did not deliver enough to seal that as an *absolute* truth.

Paxley closed out the show celebrating, but she should have gotten the chance to close out the show celebrating with the fans.

Result

Saints def. Trick by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship.

Grade

C

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Trick jumped at Saints immediately at the bell.
  • Hollywood repeatedly tried to send The Absolute One through the announce table. Finally, he landed a Book End through it followed by a Trick Shot for a dramatic near-fall.
  • Trick thought he threw Saints out of the ring and hit Saints' signature pose, only to get blasted with a clothesline.
  • Vic Joseph and Booker T fought far too much over whether Trick was hitting a Rock Bottom or Book End.
  • Booker threw his headset off in frustration after Trick lost.

Overall Show

7 of 7

Halloween Havoc was an up-and-down event that showed that NXT is on the right path but may not be fully ready to commit to a changing of the guard.

In particular, the main event did not land, especially as an exclamation mark to the night.

Too much that came before overshadowed the NXT Championship match in terms of excitement or pure action.

The real centerpiece of the show was Jacy Jayne vs. Tatum Paxley. They had the crowd hooked and invested throughout in the improbable rise of the perennial underdog, making the win feel all the sweeter.

The Broken Rules match was a spot fest the crowd adored and elevated DarkState back to the top of the tag team division.

The opening match was fine but clearly just a way to keep Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater relevant until DarkState won back the gold.

Blake Monroe justifiably captured gold in NXT while "All Ego" Ethan Page put on the best pure action of the night with Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

As a whole, there were more wins than misses for Halloween Havoc, and a reshuffle to focus on what the fans wanted to see most would have made this show truly great.
