Top WrestleDream Matches to Watch

Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley

After doing battle in a Coffin Match at All Out last month, Darby Allin and Jon Moxley figure to up the ante even more on Saturday.

Allin and Mox will meet in an "I Quit" match, which is significant since neither man has given up many times over the course of their respective careers.

Moxley was victorious at All Out thanks to interference from a returning Pac, but Allin has spent the past several weeks getting revenge by threatening Moxley with a flamethrower and even lighting him on fire while Mox was inside a body bag.

It can be argued that Allin needs the win after losing at All Out, but since he has consistently been among AEW's top guys for years, it won't be surprising if Moxley comes out on top again.

Either way, it figures to be a highly physical and violent match with a strong chance of stealing the show at WrestleDream.

Kris Statlander vs. Toni Storm

After Kris Statlander's shocking AEW Women's World Championship win last month at All Out, she will go one-on-one with the woman she took the title from at WrestleDream.

At All Out, Statlander was part of a four-way match against Storm, Jamie Hayter and Thekla, and most fans had the expectation going in that it would be another routine title defense for Storm.

However, amid the chaos of the multi-person match, Statlander caught Toni with a rollup and shockingly pinned her to become AEW women's world champion for the first time.

Given the circumstances of the win, it could be considered something of a fluke, which is why having a one-on-one rematch with Storm and beating her is of the utmost importance.

Statlander vs. Storm is likely to be a clash of styles between two of the best in the AEW women's division, and if Statlander prevails, it will be among the biggest wins of her career.

"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Samoa Joe

"Hangman" Adam Page has faced all comers since winning the AEW World Championship at All In, but he will face perhaps his toughest challenge yet at All In.

Although Page has been an ally of sorts with Samoa Joe and The Opps, tensions recently rose between them, setting off a pull-apart brawl.

Page was incensed by Joe claiming he has never beaten him and never will, which prompted Hangman to lay down an AEW world title challenge for WrestleDream.

A former AEW world champion in his own right, Joe was quick to accept, while Page set out to prove that he is indeed capable of beating one of the best wrestlers of the past 20 years.

Even though it seems likely that Page will prevail and retain the title, he and Joe should put on a hard-hitting affair that pleases the crowd.
