Projecting the Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at WWE Crown Jewel 2025
WWE is heading to Perth, Australia for Crown Jewel 2025 on Saturday, when the true top champions in the company will be determined.
Cody Rhodes will battle Seth Rollins while Tiffany Stratton will face Stephanie Vaquer for the respective men's and women's Crown Jewel Championships.
John Cena continues his retirement tour with a rematch against AJ Styles for the last time, while Roman Reigns looks to topple Bronson Reed in a Street Fight. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky are hoping to get revenge against Asuka and Kairi Sane.
These matches set the stage for a solid show, although major drama isn't promised. However, there could be some twists—particularly, the show might feature long-awaited heel or face turns that will get everyone talking about Crown Jewel.
Heel: LA Knight
1 of 4The central angle on Raw involved three babyfaces fighting over who gets the next crack at world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins.
It seems likely CM Punk will find any way to jump the line, which could leave both LA Knight and Jey Uso frustrated.
While Main Event and The Megastar are popular with the fans, they have struggled to move forward in their current roles.
For Knight, the main tease is a growing panic over whether he can ever capture a world title. The longer he waits, the less likely it is that he will accomplish his dream.
He would need to remain a face to truly feud with Rollins, but a rivalry with Punk could prove more lucrative, setting the stage for him to jump brands and challenge Cody Rhodes in 2026 after a strong showing.
Whatever gets Knight into the title picture and eventually holding the gold is a positive. A heel turn is not essential, but it may be a good thing overall for WWE and The Megastar.
Heel: Jey or Jimmy Uso
2 of 4While LA Knight's path could easily turn him villainous, it would be more difficult to fully turn Jey Uso, but perhaps the plan is for him to lean more toward a tweener role instead.
Main Event has certainly needed more edge as a top player on Raw. Finding himself playing a similar role to Roman Reigns could benefit him in the long term.
Jey can lean into more underhanded tactics but still play to the fans' adulation because they feed his ego.
This is an interesting middle ground and a more likely change than the alternative, which is Jimmy Uso again turning against his own brother.
While Jimmy has played nice with his brother and Reigns, his own frustration is building. He does not want to be forgotten in Jey's shadow.
No one is eagerly anticipating a brother rematch from WrestleMania XL, but they may feel they have something to prove after a disappointing match on such a big stage.
In any case, something has to come to a head soon between Jey and Jimmy. Reigns' match with Bronson Reed could be the perfect moment for one of the brothers to turn—either against each other or even against The OTC himself.
Face: Seth Rollins
3 of 4What is the boldest recent tease from WWE that could pay off at Crown Jewel?
The answer: Paul Heyman turning on Seth Rollins for failing against Cody Rhodes.
The Oracle made clear on Raw that The Visionary is only valuable to him as the unmistakable top champion in WWE.
If he loses to The American Nightmare for a fourth time, Heyman could turn against him and fully back Bron Breakker as his guy.
It feels too soon for Rollins to turn face again, but anything is possible as The Vision's storyline needs a jump-start.
Everyone has been stuck in a loop in recent months, and The Visionary is not thriving as Raw's top heel in the way he should have after WrestleMania 41.
Eventually, Breakker must escape Rollins' shadow, especially as his feud with Roman Reigns intensifies.
This could fix what has fallen out of place in recent months.
Heel: Iyo Sky
4 of 4What will be accomplished when Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky collide with Asuka and Kairi Sane at the RAC Arena in Perth on Saturday?
No gold is on the line, and neither team is obviously in title contention soon. However, this match could solidify Ripley and Sky as a rising team at least.
The other option, though more dramatic and perhaps unnecessarily drastic, is to turn The Genius of the Sky against The Eradicator, prompting her to rejoin her former friends.
Ripley has mostly come to trust Sky, but she has a history of tag team partners turning on her. Her concern is justified considering their rivals are her teammate's longtime friends.
This is one of WWE's best stories, and this twist would help the angle's momentum. However, it could hamper Sky's growth, falling behind The Empress of Tomorrow.
This is the least likely move on this list but would make the biggest impact, as it would completely change the direction of the Raw women's division.
