UFC's Dana White Goes Down $1.2M Gambling, Then Profits $700K in '60 Minutes' Video
UFC president and CEO Dana White has long been known for his gambling exploits, and he put his skills on full display during a feature interview for 60 Minutes.
At the 7:00 mark of the video, White was followed to a private baccarat table at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. At one point, he was placing $400,000 bets and fell behind by a whopping $1.2 million, but by the end, he walked away with a $700,000 profit.
"I'm a sick, sick guy," White told 60 Minutes about what gambling feeds in him. "That's the only explanation I can give ya."
White has routinely described himself as a "degenerate gambler." He places high-stakes bets and doesn't back down from major losses. He's made claims of winning $26 million to $27 million playing $350,000 hands of baccarat at Caesars Palace and getting "blackout drunk" and losing $3 million.
According to a report from Todd Shriber of Casino.org, White allegedly owes Red Rocks Resorts "$25.2 million in unpaid betting debts."
Outside of gambling, White has been able to score major wins as well. On Monday, Zuffa Boxing announced a broadcast partnership with Paramount+ that reportedly will run for five years. White is also gearing up for UFC 320 on Saturday, which will be headlined by a rematch between light heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev and former champion Alex Pereira.
