Zuffa Boxing, Paramount+ Land Historic Deal After Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford

Following the success of its debut event headlined by Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford, Zuffa Boxing will have a new permanent home in 2026.

Zuffa Boxing announced on Monday that it has reached a deal with Paramount+ to broadcast 12 events next year in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports reported that it's a five-year deal.

Zuffa Boxing was founded by UFC president and CEO Dana White and HE Turki Alalshikh through a partnership between TKO and Sela. According to a release, the events will begin airing on Paramount+ in January, with plans to grow the number of events beyond 12 in subsequent years. It was also noted that the deal includes "the potential for select events to be simulcast on CBS, America's leading broadcast network, and other Paramount platforms."

"I'm excited to bring great boxing events to a global audience," White said in a statement. "There are millions of boxing fans that will now be able to watch competitive fights with up-and-coming boxers as well as the biggest stars in the sport. Paramount will be the home for UFC and boxing fans to watch the greatest fights in combat sports."

Canelo vs. Crawford served as the inaugural event under the Zuffa Boxing banner. The event drew a crowd of 70,482 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, marking the second-largest indoor boxing audience in United States history. It was streamed on Netflix and watched by 41,400,000 viewers globally, setting a record for the most-viewed men's championship boxing fight of the 21st century.

Crawford defeated Alvarez by unanimous decision to become the undisputed super middleweight champion. He is the second male boxer ever to become an undisputed champion in three different weight classes.

After kicking off Zuffa Boxing with such a marquee matchup, it will be interesting to see what else the company has in store for its slate of events in 2026.
